Inspirit Walking

Inspirit Walking Guided walks in the Lake District I’m Jamie, owner of Inspirit Walking. Here is a little about me and what I do at Inspirit Walking!

I have always had a love for the outdoors and walking. In 2018 I moved to the Lake District to indulge this passion and it has only grown since. Guided walks are a great way to share my love and passion for the Lake District, walking, and the outdoors in general. I have always loved sharing knowledge, taking friends and family for walks, showing people these wonderful places, advising on routes wh

en speaking to visitors, and constantly learning more about the place I now call home. I run the business myself and will be your sole point of contact from initial enquiries and booking, right through to being your guide on the day, so I like to think it is a very personal experience. I know for many people having a great walking experience in the Lake District is not all that easy. I aim to make that experience incredibly accessible, enjoyable and bridge the gap that exists for a variety of reasons between the idea of doing it and making it a reality. Along with simply guiding the walk, I want to help inspire, educate and inflame. Each walk is different, but along the way there’ll be chats and opportunities to learn about all sorts – plants, animals, Lake District culture, geology, history, random facts and much more! The walks are relaxed, fun, informative and not overly strenuous. Currently my guided walks are focussed around some of the many stunning areas that don’t require hours walking up mountains. Yes I love the fells as much as the next person, but I also truly believe there are many areas of the Lake District that don’t get as much attention, especially in terms of guided walks to book on. Not everybody is either able to or wants to hike for 8 hours up steep slopes, and my walks are more accessible for a wider range of clients. Come with me and let me show you what the Lake District has to offer at a lower level – rivers, lakes, waterfalls, farms, fields, flowers, woods, pubs, caves, birds, trees, rocks and everything in between! I love sharing my passion about walking and the Lake District and am always happy to have a chat. So please get in touch if you have any questions, and I will try my best to help and advise, even if you don’t end up booking on one of my walks!

Who fancies a weekend of hill walking in the Lake District for the August BH weekend? 😃
I've had interest from a regular client about organising some group walks across the weekend 28th - 31st August in the Northern lakes (based from Keswick) ⛰️
Plan would likely be a mix of one or two multi Wainwright days (possibilities include Coledale Horseshoe, Skiddaw, Blencathra), and one or two more leisurely days but still including a Wainwright (maybe Hallin Fell and Ullswater lake shore, or Walla Crag and Ashness Bridge) 🥾
The walking days will be Fri, Sat and Mon. Looking to gain some interest at this stage, if you are interested in one, two, or three days we're happy to take input on the walks we do! 🙂
All walks will be lead by myself, and groups will be limited to a max of 6, so you can be sure the experience will be safe, intimate and enjoyable 👌
Price will be £60 per person per walk, with discounts for booking on more than one 🙃
For more info or to book please message here or email 📧 [email protected]

Great day on Wednesday taking Mel up the Langdale Pikes ⛰️ Mel has been visiting the Lake District for many years and loves walking, but always thought the bigger fells were out of reach. On Wednesday we changed that and she made her dream come true! It was such a pleasure to help Mel achieve something that meant so much, and to introduce her to such a special place, up amongst the fells that she's admired from below for so long 🥰

Nice day showing Leta and Ken around Derwent Water on Saturday 🥾⛴️
I love incorporating the boats across lakes into my walks, it gets a different perspective and gives flexibility with linear routes 😊
