Well… the countdown is definitely ON! 😂🌍

This Saturday I’ll be at Angmering Revealed 2026, and the preparations are now gathering pace.

I’ll be there representing my little corner of Angmering… HOLIDAYS! ✈️☀️🛳️⛷️

🚢 A mega-ship, local ferries, e-bikes, e-scooters… and rather a lot of time in the hot tub! 🇳🇴

My partner and I boarded P&O’s Iona for a week in the Norwegian Fjords, and I’ll admit I was slightly sceptical about sharing a ship with 5,000+ passengers.

One week, four Norwegian ports and plenty of independent adventures later… had I been converted?

I’ve finally put our week into words, sharing what we loved onboard, how we explored independently ashore and a few tips I picked up along the way.

free wheeling thru Norway countryside…. the best feeling 😍

Two unforgettable days exploring Norway, the independent way… 🇳🇴🚴⛴️

Yesterday we hired e-bikes in Olden and cycled through some of the most incredible scenery to Briksdal Glacier. Quiet roads, waterfalls around every corner and those views that make you stop every few minutes just to take it all in.

Today we caught the local ferry from Hellesylt to Geiranger, cruising through one of the world’s most spectacular fjords before stretching our legs with the walk up to the Storsæterfossen waterfall. Standing behind a waterfall is definitely one of those “worth every step” moments!

A special shout out to Molla Guesthouse in Olden for introducing us to some excellent local Norwegian beer. 🍺 A perfect way to round off a fantastic day.

It’s experiences like these that remind me travel isn’t just about ticking off places, it’s about creating memories you’ll still be talking about years later.

First stop… Stavanger! 🇳🇴 💙

Already completely charmed by the colourful waterfront, cobbled streets and relaxed Scandinavian vibe. This is exactly why Norway has been on my travel wish list for so long.

Now to see what the rest of the fjords have in store… 😊
