🔴 MY EXPERIENCE AT PARIS CHARLES DE GAULLE AIRPORT – PLEASE ALLOW EXTRA TIME 🔴

Having just returned from Disneyland Paris, I wanted to share our experience travelling home through Charles de Gaulle Airport, particularly when it came to passport control.

We had read quite a few horror stories beforehand about the queues at passport control, but nothing quite prepared us for what we experienced.

We travelled as a family of six. My partner and I went through passport control without any issues using the self scanners, however our friends, travelling with their two young children, were stuck in the queue for over two hours.

We waited for them at the other side, receiving regular updates throughout. Unfortunately, the queue barely moved. At one point, there were just two passport officers dealing with a queue of well over 150 people.

It became quite distressing, with families getting increasingly upset as passengers were receiving final calls for their flights. Unfortunately, planes were not waiting, and there were people missing their flights.

Thankfully, our flight home was delayed by two hours, which worked in our favour and meant we weren’t under the same pressure.

🔴 MY BIGGEST TIP: PLEASE ALLOW PLENTY OF TIME AT CHARLES DE GAULLE 🔴

If you’re travelling to Disneyland Paris or Paris in general, don’t underestimate how long passport control could take when returning home. Give yourself plenty of time at the airport and don’t assume you’ll sail straight through.

This post isn’t intended to scaremonger. I’m sure there are plenty of occasions when passport control is much quieter and passengers get through without any issues.

However, this was our genuine experience, and I would hate for anyone to find themselves in a position where they’re rushing, panicking or potentially missing their flight because they haven’t allowed enough time.

Sometimes it’s better to have a little extra time sitting at the airport than not enough time getting through passport control!

Halloween at Disneyland Paris is amazing! 🎃✨

Disneyland Paris – Day 2!

It was an early start yesterday with a 7am wake-up call so we could make the most of Extra Magic Time, which is included when you stay at a Disney Hotel. It really does make a difference, as we managed to get on a few rides before the crowds arrived!

Of course, not everything goes to plan at Disney! We actually got stuck on Big Thunder Mountain and had to be rescued by the staff. Definitely not something we had on our itinerary! 🤣

We ended up spending 15 hours on our feet (my feet definitely felt it 😂), but it was so worth it. We even spotted Danny Dyer, but decided not to disturb him for a photo!

We watched Mickey’s Halloween Parade before heading over to Disney Village for some food and drinks, then grabbed a few sweet treats on Main Street.

The atmosphere at night is something else, especially at Halloween. All the lights, decorations and spooky vibes make it feel even more special!

We’ve had the best two days and managed to fit so much in, but we’re absolutely knackered now! When you’re here, you really do want to make the most of every minute.

I’m at Disneyland Paris! Some of you may have already guessed from my little clues! 👀

We flew from Edinburgh with easyJet yesterday morning, and despite the weather, we had a surprisingly smooth flight. Before we knew it, we were landing at Charles de Gaulle, where our private transfer was waiting for all six of us.

A huge shout-out to Prestige Transfers. I honestly can’t recommend them enough! They had Halloween sweets and decorations waiting in the car for the boys, and even let them choose a Disney film to watch on the journey to the hotel. Such a lovely touch and a brilliant start to our holiday.

We’re staying at Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne, and it’s been amazing so far. If you’re a Toy Story fan, you’ll absolutely love it. It genuinely feels like you’re staying in the middle of a Wild West movie set!

We had a little rain for an hour or two, but thankfully it soon cleared up, leaving us with a dry, albeit chilly, afternoon and evening.

After dropping our bags at the hotel, we hopped on the free Disney shuttle bus, which runs regularly to the parks, and made the most of the time we had left. We headed straight for Adventureland and managed to get on all the rides we wanted.

The queues were pretty lengthy, so we decided to purchase Premier Access, and so far, it’s been worth every penny. When you’ve only got a limited amount of time, making the most of every minute is so important!

Today we’re heading to Disneyland Park, and we honestly can’t wait. Let the magic continue!

Two of my lovely customers have managed to escape this awful weather back home and head out to sunny Benidorm for 3 nights to catch some winter sun 🙌🏼

I love when you send me your photos! It puts the biggest smile on my face 😊

I may or may not have got up at 6am yesterday morning just to make sure their flight was still scheduled to go, that’s how dedicated I am! 🤣

🔴 STORM BOELO UPDATE 🔴

All of my customers travelling this weekend have been contacted, and I continue to monitor the weather situation closely.

Thankfully, all of my customers have been able to travel without any serious disruption so far, with only some delays reported. I will continue to keep an eye on developments as the situation progresses.

If you are travelling this weekend, whether heading off on holiday or returning home, please continue to check your easyJet, Jet2holidays or TUI app regularly for the latest real-time updates regarding your flight.

I’m actually flying myself on Tuesday, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that things have settled down a little by then!
