Still time for a Dorset adventure! 🌊

Of course there’s Chesil Beach, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, but there’s plenty more to discover. Visit Abbotsbury Swannery, climb the tower at Portland Bill Lighthouse or try your hand at fossil hunting on Charmouth Beach.

So many places to explore, so little summer left! ☀️

📍 Just under an hour from London, Folkestone combines beaches, independent businesses and family attractions with a vibrant modern culture scene.

Just steps from the town centre, Sunny Sands beach handily cuts out all the lugging of bags, parasols and deck chairs. Buzzing with shops, great places to eat at the chilled-out Harbour Arm plus the world’s first indoor skate park, Folkestone scores for all ages and stages.

Leas Coastal Park blends fun with formal gardens and for summer ’26 the south east’s largest free play area reopens, a 350-seat amphitheatre hosting free music, comedy, storytelling and drama.

Keen swimmers love nearby Mermaid Beach, tuck into snacks and ice-creams at its café, relax with a beach bbq in the evening. The Warren beach is the place for fossil-hunters and rock-poolers, get the kids stuck in scouring for treasure, it sits conveniently below Warren Country Park.

📍 The Cloud Bar, Anderby Creek - Lincolnshire

Ever wondered what the Lincolnshire sky has to say? ☁️

Head to Anderby Creek on the Lincolnshire coast and you’ll find the wonderfully unusual Cloud Bar! A purpose-built platform designed for one thing: looking up.

With Lincolnshire’s famously huge skies stretching out above you, it’s a brilliant place to slow down, and that’s just one of the things we love about this coast..

From the wide sandy beaches and seaside fun of Skegness and Mablethorpe, to the wild landscapes of Gibraltar Point, coastal paths, nature reserves and quieter beaches further north, there’s plenty to discover.

As summer starts to turn towards autumn, the coast is looking pretty good from every angle.

On the Durham coast, visitors spend hours combing the shoreline around Seaham in search of colourful sea glass. Once a by-product of Victorian bottle works, these smooth fragments have become treasured keepsakes and a unique part of the area's coastal identity.
