Award winning glamping site in rural west Wales, 12 miles north of the historic town of Carmarthen. It is located on the edge of woodland on a 20 acres.

Our award winning campsite, established in 2003, is in a quiet location and has spectacular views of the Welsh countryside.

One night stays - back by popular request!!

We fully appreciate that some of you don't want to, or can't,book a two night stay.

🚗Perhaps you are on a west Wales tour and are trying to see as much as possible.
🙏Are you visiting Skanda Vale for a morning puja and want to travel home afterwards?
🏕Maybe you're local and just want to pop up for a tipi or yurt experience?

We've been listening and you can now book a one night stay with us via our website from Sunday through to Thursday. Check in from 2pm 😊 Cook over an open fire, explore our woodland and habitat land, wake up to the sound of birdsong or the gentle pitter patter of rain on canvas.

A NEW LOOK TIPI FOR 2025!
After 20+ years of a white tipi this year we have handmade our tipi using a different colour canvas. The main reason for this was eco based... why source new canvas material when we had enough left over from when we made the Alachigh? We also think it creates a cosier ambience inside and will help to reduce the natural light at the very start of the day so our guests can sleep a little better. We hope you like it! We haven't quite finished putting it together yet, but it will be all ready for the Welsh Easter Holidays. Who's coming to stay?

The Easter Holidays are fast approaching and it's a wonderful time of year to visit our magical glamping site. Get the kids some fresh air, making dens in the woods and of course toasting marshmallows around a campfire. Once again there will be no school holiday price hikes this year, making a holiday with the kids affordable during all the school holidays. We're a small glamping site, only being able to accommodate 5 families at a time, so we do tend to get booked up quickly. To book please visit our website.

☀️✈️ We closed our glamping doors in January for some much needed R&R. We packed our bags and headed to New Zealand to visit our youngest daughter, Sian, who has lived there for 10 years now!
It was so wonderful to explore New Zealand (mainly the North Island this time) and spend quality time with Sian and her lovely family. The sunshine was also very much enjoyed! Some highlights from the trip included going rogue on gravel tracks and nearly driving off a cliff (got the heart pumping), all of the incredible waterfalls, culminating with a win for Sian and her team at the world renowned Coast to Coast race!

✨Our Magical Mongolian Ger✨
Surrounded by trees and tucked away the Mongolian Ger is a favourite of ours. Loved by guests for its wood burning stove and sweet outdoor campfire area it's our most recommended for a cosy stay.

We have lots of availability for next weeks' Welsh half term if you'd like to stay. Mid-week the cost of a two night stay is £190.

We are taking a much needed break over the next 5 weeks, but we will be re-opening for guests before the next round of school holidays! We have the Bentwood Yurt, the Mongolian Ger and the Lavvu available which each sleep 4 guests. If you'd like to book please book online or give us a call.

Despite very little in the way of cold weather this Winter so far, this winter has definitely been a challenge! High winds have given us a lot of repair work to do including cutting down damaged trees, fence repair and work to our Alachigh which suffered from storm Darragh. We would certainly welcome some nice calm weather even if that means some frosty chilly mornings but there are even more winds coming again this weekend! Roll on the Spring!

⛺After the horrible weather on the weekend it really does feel like the summer is a long way off doesn't it?

If you are feeling the need for summer to be that much closer our online calendar is now open for 2025. We have kept our 'no school holiday hikes' promise for next year so we advise to book ahead as these dates do go quickly, especially for the bank holidays.

Storm update. What wind! Hope you are all safe and well. Overall the damage here could have been much worse. We went out in the wind to secure the Alachigh and the Mongolian Ger which were struggling. The Alachigh may take a little time to repair. The damage is mainly with fallen trees and the sheds. A wing from our beautiful Totem Pole has come away - it's fixable though! It would seem we have a few busy weeks ahead!
