Something I came across about Costa Rica that I thought was really interesting... 🌿

The country has developed a new AI-powered app called De Vuelta a Casa (Back Home), which helps return confiscated seashells to the beaches they originally came from.
⠀
When shells are intercepted at airport customs, the app analyses them to identify which coastline they came from, so they can be returned to their natural habitat.
⠀
I hadn't realised just how important seashells are to coastal ecosystems and marine life. They provide shelter for small marine creatures and help replenish beaches as they gradually break down.

It's such a clever use of technology to help protect Costa Rica's beautiful coastline 🤍

Last night I attended the 'Explore Uganda UK Roadshow' at The Midland in Manchester and what a fantastic evening it was!

My sister and I have dreamt of visiting Uganda since we were little, especially to see the gorillas 🦍, so I absolutely loved learning more about this beautiful country, known as The Pearl of Africa.

I also met some of the warmest, friendliest Ugandan people last night. They were like balls of sunshine! Another agent who'd visited was asked what he loved most about Uganda, he replied, “The people, the people, the people.”

And then, at the end of the evening… I WON the most incredible prize! A whole week in Uganda for two, with the opportunity to see the gorillas. I still can't quite believe it!

I'm so incredibly grateful for this opportunity, and to share this adventure with my sister! I can't wait to experience Uganda, as well as meet more of the amazing people who make this country so special.

Following on from the offer I shared yesterday, I wanted to share a bit more about this beautiful resort.

Overlooking Spinalonga Island, it has its own natural sandy beach, several swimming pools and spacious suites, many with an outdoor jacuzzi or private pool.

For families, there’s a kids club, a dedicated children’s pool and CORE, an open-air space with food trucks, shops and live entertainment. There’s also CHORA, an adults-only (16+) retreat with sea-view suites and its own pool, making it a lovely option for couples too.

With five restaurants, plenty of choice for dining and the chance to take a boat trip to Spinalonga straight from the resort’s pier, there’s lots to enjoy both on and off the property.

Definitely one to consider for a family holiday next summer or a relaxing escape for two! 🇬🇷
