Harry Potter fans! 🧙 Did you know Malfoy Manor is in Derbyshire? 🤩🎬

The impressive Hardwick Hall near Chesterfield was transformed into Malfoy Manor in ‘The Deathly Hallows’ Harry Potter film 🏰✨

Built by Bess of Hardwick in the 1500s, this National Trust gem also doubled up as a royal palace for the ‘Mary Queen of Scots’ film starring Margot Robbie and Saoirse Ronan 👑

The hall is home to a unique collection of the finest 16th and early 17th-century needlework, furniture and original portraits, and is surrounded by acres of beautiful parkland 🌿

🎈 Hot air balloon update 🎈

Unfortunately, due to the poor weather forecast, the hot air balloons will not be flying tomorrow morning (Friday 4 September).

We are continuing to monitor the conditions for tomorrow evening’s flights, and a decision will be made closer to the time based on the latest weather conditions.

We’ll keep you updated as soon as we have more information 🤞

Thank you for your understanding!

Chasing sunsets on Stanage Edge 🤩🧡

This dramatic gritstone edge can be found above the Peak District village of Hathersage ⛰

It’s a popular spot for hikers and climbers, with breathtaking views of the Hope Valley, and the ridge stretches for almost 4 miles!

Fans of the classic Pride & Prejudice film will also recognise Stanage Edge as the spot where Keira Knightley - playing Elizabeth Bennett - stood upon a rock ledge and dreamed of Mr Darcy ✨
