⛳ From Scottsdale Sand Traps to Irish Dunes! 🇮🇪

We’ve had an absolute blast hosting our fantastic guests all the way from Scottsdale, Arizona! 🏜️✈️

Swapping desert heat for the legendary coastal winds of the Wild Atlantic Way, this group tackled three of Ireland's most famous championship links destinations:

🏌️ County Sligo Golf Club (Rosses Point): Founded in 1894 and later redesigned by legendary architect Harry C**t, this championship links hosts the prestigious West of Ireland Amateur Open every year (a tournament won by Rory McIlroy in his junior days!). It delivers uninterrupted views of Benbulben mountain and classic, strategic shot-making across undulating terrain.

🌊 Strandhill Golf Club: Carved directly into dynamic coastal dunes on the Cúil Irra peninsula, Strandhill offers non-stop panoramic views of Knocknarea and the Atlantic. Famous for its natural elevation changes and blind shots, it’s widely considered one of the most thrilling and fun links layouts in the country.

⛳ Enniscrone Golf Club (The Dunes): Set along Killala Bay, Enniscrone features massive 90-foot dunes and a back nine widely celebrated as one of the most exhilarating sequences of holes in world golf. Redesigned by Eddie Hackett and expanded by Donald Steel, it’s pure, rugged links golf at its finest.

From dramatic seaside fairways to luxury Mercedes-Benz transfers and top-tier Irish hospitality, so far it’s been a week of unforgettable golf, epic Atlantic backdrops, and plenty of post-round craic. 🍻☘️

🍀🇮🇪 16 DAYS. TWO COUNTRIES. HOLE-IN-ONES. COUNTLESS MEMORIES & FRIENDS FOR LIFE! 🇨🇦⛳️

We promised you we would take you along for the full 16-day adventure from start to finish — and here we are! ❤️

From Day 1, our wonderful Canadian guests arrived ready for an unforgettable Irish adventure, and we kicked things off by discovering everything the historic city of Derry/Londonderry had to offer — its incredible history, famous walls, character, culture and unique atmosphere. It was the perfect introduction to Northern Ireland and the beginning of an amazing journey.

From there, the adventure continued through the spectacular Inishowen Peninsula, taking in Grianan of Aileach, Dunree, Mamore Gap, Doagh Famine Village and Malin Head, with breathtaking coastal scenery around every corner. 🌊⛰️

We then headed south through Donegal, experiencing the magnificent Slieve League Cliffs, Ardara and the winding Glengesh Pass before arriving in beautiful Sligo.

And then it was time to get onto the fairways! ⛳️🏌️‍♂️

Our Canadian golfers enjoyed some truly unforgettable Irish links golf at St. Patrick’s, County Sligo, Strandhill, Ballybunion, Waterville and the spectacular Old Head Golf Links, before finishing the trip with a final round at Jameson Golf Links at Portmarnock Resort.

And of course… there were HOLE-IN-ONES! 🎯⛳️

One of the biggest highlights of the entire trip was an incredible ace on the 14th hole at Ballybunion — a moment that will certainly live long in the memory and gave us all plenty to celebrate!

But this tour was about so much more than golf.

We travelled the spectacular Ring of Kerry, visiting Torc Waterfall, Ladies View, Moll’s Gap, Kenmare, Sneem, Staigue Stone Fort, Waterville and Portmagee, taking in some of Ireland's most breathtaking scenery along the way. 🍀🌊

We enjoyed the excitement and atmosphere of the Killarney Races, discovered fantastic local food, enjoyed traditional Irish music, sampled plenty of Irish hospitality and, naturally, enjoyed a few pints and plenty of craic along the way! 🍻🎻

We experienced the beauty and charm of Killarney and Kinsale, explored the vibrant streets of Dublin, visited the Guinness Storehouse, enjoyed great nights out and made memories around every corner.

And now, as we reach Day 16, there is one thing that stands out above everything else…

The friendships. ❤️

What started on Day 1 as a group of Canadian guests arriving for a 16-day tour has turned into something much more special.

Sixteen days of travelling together, playing golf, sightseeing, sharing meals, enjoying drinks, laughing, telling stories and experiencing Ireland together has created friendships that we hope will last a lifetime. 🇨🇦❤️🇮🇪

To our fantastic Canadian group — thank you from all of us at Deluxe Tours & Transfers.

Thank you for your wonderful company, your laughter, your good humour and for allowing us to share this incredible journey with you.

We promised to bring you along for the adventure from Day 1 to Day 16, and what a journey it has been!

From the historic streets of Derry/Londonderry to the wild Atlantic coast, from the mountains of Kerry to the fairways of Ireland’s greatest links courses, from hole-in-one celebrations to Irish music, laughter and late nights — we truly experienced it all. 🍀🇮🇪⛳️ Incredible scenery. World-class golf. Hole-in-ones. Great food. Irish music. Plenty of craic. And most importantly… great friends and memories for life. ❤️

Safe travels home, guys. It has been an absolute pleasure having you with us.

Until we meet again! ✈️🥂

Day 13 with our lovely guests from Canada! 🇮🇪✨

A much-needed, chilled-out day recharging the batteries in beautiful Kinsale today before we head off on the final leg of our trip to Dublin tomorrow. What an absolute journey it’s been so far—unbelievable coastal sightseeing, world-class links golf, fantastic craic, meeting amazing locals, and taking in the absolute best of the island of Ireland! 🚐💨

Before we leave this colorful coastal spot, here are a few fun facts about Kinsale you might not know:

The World-Famous Golfing Edge: Kinsale is home to the legendary Old Head Golf Links, perched hundreds of feet above the Atlantic on a sheer cliffside promontory—a true bucket-list course for golfers across the globe!

The Pennsylvania Connection: William Penn, founder of Pennsylvania, lived in Kinsale where his father was governor—and it was right here in County Cork that he actually converted to Quakerism!

Where Ships Used to Sail: Much of Kinsale’s vibrant town center sits on reclaimed land. Centuries ago, ships anchored in the exact spots where visitors now stroll between shops and pubs.

Desmond Castle's Wild History: Known locally as the "French Prison," Desmond Castle served as a customs house, a famine workhouse, and a prison holding captured French, Spanish, and American soldiers during the 18th century.

The Southern Anchor: Beyond being Ireland’s official culinary capital, Kinsale marks the exact southern starting point (or grand finale!) of the famous 2,500km Wild Atlantic Way.

One final push to Dublin tomorrow to wrap up an unforgettable tour! ☘️

Day 11 & 12: Killarney to Kinsale & Teeing Off at Old Head! ⛳️🌊

We’ve officially crossed into Day 11, bidding farewell to the stunning lakes of Killarney and making our transfer down to Ireland’s gourmet capital—beautiful Kinsale! ☘️

Before our guests take to the fairways today, we spent some time doing early sightseeing along the dramatic coast. The views here are nothing short of breathtaking!

Sightseeing Highlights from the Headland:

🏰 1804 Napoleonic Signal Tower: We visited Signal Tower No. 25, built during the Napoleonic era as a lookout post against potential French invasion. Today, it’s home to the Lusitania Museum, standing watch over the exact waters where the RMS Lusitania tragically sank in 1915.

🌊 Sheer Cliff Drop-offs: Standing high above the Atlantic, the surrounding cliffs plummet over 300 feet into the crashing ocean below—a truly spectacular backdrop for photographs!

Day 12: Playing the Unique & Magical Old Head Golf Links ⛳️

Today, our guests are taking on one of the most famous, bucket-list golf experiences in the world. Jutting over two miles out into the Atlantic Ocean, Old Head is a true wonder of design and nature:

🎯 Living on the Edge: Nine of the eighteen holes play directly along the cliff tops, including the iconic 4th hole ("Razor’s Edge") framed by the Old Head Lighthouse.

🛡️ Ancient History: Long before golf, this headland was fortified by Iron Age Celts and 12th-century castles. In fact, golfers enter the course right through the ruins of an ancient castle gate!

Pure luxury, incredible history, and unforgettable golf! ☘️🚗✨

Day 10 of 16, and today was absolute pure magic on the southwest coast! ⛳️🇮🇪

Our guests took on the legendary Waterville Golf Links, and it certainly lived up to its reputation. Ranked consistently among the top courses in the world, Waterville is true bucket-list golf—surrounded by the roaring Atlantic Ocean and the wild beauty of Ballinskelligs Bay. Fun fact: The famous statue near the 19th hole honors World Golf Hall of Famer Payne Stewart, who was named Honorary Club Captain here back in 1999!

It's a complete privilege for us at Deluxe Tours and Transfers to drive our guests across Ireland in total luxury and comfort, handling every single detail so everyone can just sit back, enjoy the scenic Wild Atlantic Way, and focus on the fairways.

Now, we’re back in Killarney for one final evening to unwind, share stories from the day, and enjoy a well-deserved pint.

Hard to believe phase three of the journey is wrapping up, but tomorrow we pack up and head south to the colorful coastal haven of Kinsale! 🚘✨

Day 8 of 16 with Deluxe Tours & Transfers! 🚐☘️

Today, we had the absolute pleasure of taking our fantastic guests from Canada on one of Ireland’s most iconic scenic drives—the magnificent Ring of Kerry! From sweeping coastal vistas to ancient stone forts, every turn was pure magic.

Here’s a look at where our wheels took us today:

🌊 Torc Waterfall – Tucked inside Killarney National Park, this 20-meter cascade is fed by the Owengarriff River. According to local folklore, the waterfall was created by a man cursed by the Devil to transform into a wild boar (torc) every night!

👑 Ladies View – One of the most photographed viewpoints in Ireland! It earned its famous name during Queen Victoria’s visit in 1861, when her ladies-in-waiting fell so in love with the panoramic view of the Lakes of Killarney that it was officially named after them.

⛰️ Moll’s Gap – Named after Moll Kissane, who ran an unlicensed pub (shebeen) here in the 1800s to serve workers building the mountain pass. Today, it offers some of the best views of the MacGillycuddy's Reeks, Ireland’s highest mountain range.

🏡 Kenmare – Known as the "Jewel on the Ring of Kerry," this colorful heritage town was built in 1670 by Sir William Petty. It's famous for its traditional lace-making history and vibrant, picture-perfect streets.

🍀 Sneem – Famous for its colorful, painted houses and two distinct village squares divided by the River Sneem. It’s also home to the "Sculpture Trail" featuring art gifted by international world leaders.

🏰 Staigue Stone Fort – One of Ireland's finest surviving Iron Age ringforts, built over 2,000 years ago completely without mortar! Its massive drystone walls reach up to 18 feet high, complete with an incredible internal network of stairways.

⛳ Waterville – A stunning coastal village famously beloved by Charlie Chaplin, who spent summer holidays here with his family for decades. There's even a bronze statue of the screen legend right on the seafront!

⚓ Portmagee – A picturesque fishing village that serves as the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage site, Skellig Michael. More recently, film buffs know it as the filming location for Luke Skywalker's hideaw

🚌 Day 7 of 16: From Lovely Sligo to the Kingdom of Kerry! ☘️🇨🇦

Today marked the middle of our epic 16-day journey across Ireland, as we said a fond farewell to the breathtaking scenery of Sligo and set our sights south toward Killarney with our fantastic guests visiting all the way from Canada!

We broke up the drive down with two brilliant, iconic stops along the route:

📍 Knock Shrine, Co. Mayo

Our first stop was the peaceful sanctuary of Knock Shrine. Welcoming over one million visitors from around the globe every year, it became an international pilgrimage site following the reported apparition on the evening of August 21, 1879. A remarkable piece of local history from that wet August night: despite a heavy torrential downpour, witnesses recorded that the ground directly beneath the church gable wall where the figures appeared remained completely dry throughout! The shrine has hosted major world figures over the decades, including two Popes—Pope John Paul II during the centenary in 1979 and Pope Francis in 2018.

📍 Adare, Co. Limerick

Next, we journeyed into picturesque Adare for a stop near the world-renowned Adare Manor, the home of the upcoming 2027 Ryder Cup! The course underwent an extraordinary redesign led by legendary architect Tom Fazio, transforming it into a global golfing masterpiece. It even features advanced SubAir aeration technology under every single green to regulate moisture and temperature, ensuring tour-standard conditions no matter the Irish weather!

Now, we’re officially checked in and settled into Killarney for a 4-night stay! Over the next few days, our Canadian guests are in for a treat as they experience legendary Kerry hospitality, world-class dining, and the famous, lively pub scene and traditional Irish music that Killarney is renowned for. 🎶🍻
