🌊 Portstewart magic this morning! 🐬

Just spotted a pod of dolphins putting on an absolute show right near the coastline. Things got even better when they swam right up to a paddle boat and started playing around it! Bet that paddler didn't expect that morning surprise! 😮🚣‍♂️

There is nothing quite like watching them play in our own backyard. Great timing and very lucky to Spot them

Our guests are taking on the magnificent Glashedy Links today. Fashioned by the legendary Pat Ruddy and Tom Craddock around the towering, tumbling dunes of Pollan Bay, Glashedy is a true masterpiece of modern links design. It has tested the very best in the world, hosting the European Tour’s DDF Irish Open in 2018, and it never fails to leave international golfers completely spellbound.

🌊 The Spirit of the Shore: Glashedy Island

As you stand on the tee box, your eyes are immediately drawn out to sea to the iconic silhouette of Glashedy Island (from the Irish Gláis-éidigh, meaning "Island of the Green Cloak"), which sits just a mile offshore.

This dramatic quartzite rock wears a distinct cap of vibrant green grass and holds centuries of rugged local history. Back in the 19th and early 20th centuries, its sea caves were famously used as a daring, secret hideout for distilling illegal Poitín (traditional Irish moonshine). Local folklore even speaks of a "magic island" that appears in the sound once every seven years—though today, our Canadian guests are finding all the magic they need right here on the fairways!

Today we are celebrating a huge milestone at Deluxe Tours and Transfers — 100 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Google Reviews!

What makes this achievement even more special is the journey behind it.

Just over a year and a half ago, due to circumstances and an issue with our Google Business Profile that were completely out of our control, we unfortunately lost more than 50 of our original reviews. To say we were devastated would be an understatement. Anyone who runs a business knows how important reviews are in today’s world, and losing them was incredibly difficult and stressful.

But instead of giving up, we dusted ourselves off, took it on the chin, and started again from zero.

Our group of Canadians are taking on the legendary courses this week, today the Old Links is showing exactly why it’s one of the most unforgettable links experiences in the world. Balls dancing in the air, clubs second-guessed mid-swing, and plenty of laughter carried on the Atlantic breeze.

The course is steeped in history, with golf played on these natural dunes since the late 1800s. Originally laid out in 1947 and later redesigned, it weaves through raw, rugged terrain shaped by the elements over centuries. This isn’t a manicured parkland course — it’s golf as nature intended

Set on the Inishowen Peninsula in , the area is as wild as it is beautiful. Sweeping coastal views, towering dunes, and the ever-present Atlantic wind make every round a true test — and a story worth telling.
