After two weeks of not being around because of not being around but being around somewhere else, The Ghost Tour Of Guildford is running tonight as usual at 8pm outside Holy Trinity Church. As always, you just turn up and you don't book and it won't be raining!

A friend just phoned to say a work colleague is coming on the tour tonight.
Just a reminder - there is NO GHOST TOUR TONIGHT. It's been here, on the website and on my answerphone for two weeks.

Friday 8th May will be the last tour for a couple of weeks - I'm in a show on Friday 15th and Friday 22nd (but back on Friday 29th) so post this far and wide, my lovely flying monkeys! 8pm outside Holy Trinity Church at the top of the High Street. I've had some mostly lovely groups so far this year and I think that's probably down to me being brilliant as much as it is them liking me being brilliant. Friday 10th I had 8 lovely people and a very fun evening.
Thursday 16th I had a private tour for 24 people (and small monsters) from a local cub scout troop, which was also surprisingly fun.
Last night I had 8 more lovely people and a very fun evening.
I could have done without what happened just as I was finishing (assault by a passing drunk 'man' out with his 'delightful' family who thought it would be funny to grab me and do something very inappropriate) but, otherwise, I've had a fun few tours in a row with people who appear to have been very happy with what I do.
After Easter, The Ghost Tour always takes a big attendance downturn so I'm going to keep up on the publicity this year.
Tell your friends, and - if you've been putting it off for years - stop putting it off!

Well, not a bad opening to the 2026 season last Friday night.
17 people came along, no one left, the weather stayed on our side, I only forgot what I was doing right at the very start, and no one on the street was being disruptive.
Hopefully I'm going to keep the momentum going and build on those figures - so the next Ghost Tour of Guildford is this coming Friday night, 10th April, at 8pm outside Holy Trinity Church at the top of the High Street. Just bring lots and lots of money. And clothes. Please wear clothes. I don't need a repeat of THAT evening again...

Time for me to get out of bed. THE GHOST TOUR OF GUILDFORD returns for the 2026 season this Friday, 8pm, outside Holy Trinity Church at the top of the High Street. Now in it's 25th year, and it's still not got any better. You know how it goes. Runs whatever the weather, no need to book in advance, £10 adults and £5 U16s (which is about half what you pay in London) payable on the night by cash or card. History should not be so silly. Ghost stories should not be so... um... also silly. Bring your friends. Bring your friend's friends. Don't bring your friend's friend's friends because we don't know who they are. Tell everyone. Phone strangers. Share this post. Make your own. Just... stuff. It's a horrible way to spend an evening.

A final reminder I shall be doing a regular off-season Ghost Tour this evening (Friday 19th) at 8pm outside Holy Trinity Church. Just be there for an 8pm start. If enough people show up, I'll do it again in future.

A reminder that I'll be running a regular Ghost Tour 'for Christmas' this coming Friday 19th December. Same as usual - just turn up for an 8pm start. There will be nothing Christmassy apart from the cold weather and a dark night.

So everybody knows - there is NO Ghost Tour on Friday 28th November. It would usually be the last one of the year but I happen to be playing Mole in THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS this week!
HOWEVER... led by a suggestion from one of the lovely volunteers at St Mary's Church - I'm going to do a pre-Christmas tour this year to make up for this week. So... FRIDAY 19TH DECEMBER I shall be there as usual at 8pm and hope to recoup some of the massive losses due to the rain around Hallowe'en this year!
