Aaaaand... back to normal. The Ghost Tour SHOULD now be running every Friday up to and including November 21st.

IN THE MEANTIME, PEOPLE...

A reminder that I'm very involved with three shows that are on in St Mary's Church this coming Saturday as part of Guildford Fringe Festival.

At 11:00am-11:40am I'm performing with PuppeTails doing our own silly and modern puppety twist on the famous story by Hans Christian Andersen, except this is called EMPEROR GRAHAM'S NEWS CLOTHES. It's daft. Tickets are £8 or £28 for a family of four (at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/wyschproductions/t-lnqajoa )

At 3:00pm-3:40pm, Lucky Dog will be bringing their much-loved homage to the internationally famous children's film THE RED BALLOON to Guildford for the first time. It's chaos. Too many costumes, props and quick changes and a lot of balloons. It's a beautiful story performed in a very messy way. Tickets are £10 (at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/wyschproductions/t-dvnxdqd )

Finally, at 7:30pm-8:30pm, Lucky Dog will be doing something very different and performing their acclaimed historical drama MR MERRICK, THE ELEPHANT MAN (as seen on the BBC and mentioned in Joseph Merrick's biography) to this wonderful setting. It's the most accurate play ever written about this remarkable Victorian and has often brought the audience to tears. Tickets are £12 (at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/wyschproductions/t-jzomadq )

I'm in all three and I wrote the two Lucky Dog shows! We have a LOT of seats to fill and would be delighted if you'd come along to one, or two, or all of them.

And if you don't, you're a big bum. Seriously, don't type in why you won't be there. Not interested. Type in why you WILL.

And share the post. Thank you. Very nice. Good.

Just a reminder there won't be a Ghost Tour this coming Friday because I'm performing in Kent. After that, it should be running every Friday up to November 21st (which will be the last public tour of the year as I'll be performing again on November 28th).
Back again on September 5th, the night before I'm involved with three shows in a day, all in St Mary's Church (EMPEROR GRAHAM'S NEW CLOTHES, THE RED BALLOON and MR MERRICK, THE ELEPHANT MAN - all at www.guildfordfringefestival.com )
August was a fine month, in spite of the strange little gnome-like man who used to disrupt my tours starting up again eight years after I had a few words with him when I wasn't working. Still, it's all the paranormal, isn't it? Turn up on the 5th and let's see if we can spot him! ;)

A great tour tonight with 19 people who were happy and enthusiastic, and we didn't let the resurfacing of a certain troublesome man who used to disrupt the tours years ago and stalk me online bother us (yes, Ray Oliver, I'm afraid it's our friend 'Iain'). I shall enjoy speaking with him the next time I see him.
No tour next week as I shall be doing a show in Kent, but back on September 5th. Who knows? We might even see the unusual Iain again!

I'll be travelling back down from Edinburgh for tonight's Ghost Tour so expect a distinctly Scottish flavour this evening.
Actually, it'll be exactly the same as always.
But it IS the 24th birthday of The Ghost Tour of Guildford.

01/08/2025

There's no Ghost Tour this evening as I'm down in Dorset doing some various things at Camp Bestival. Running next Friday again as usual.

Tomorrow (Friday 20th) could be the warmest Ghost Tour ever. Could be. I don't know. I haven't checked. But you know the weather is going to be good and it won't be raining. AND it's not running on the 27th (I'm doing shows in Devon) so... you know... tomorrow. 8pm. It'll be really nice. And then I'll show up.

13/06/2025

Ha ha ha! We (sort of) beat the rain. OK, it rained - but it wasn't windy, it was warm, and the rain was light. When it got showery we had places to hide.
15 people tonight and it went really well. Tonight's group 'got' it from the start.
Next week is running as normal but the week after that (27th) I'll be doing acting stuff in Devon.

Bony skeleton fingers crossed that people turn up tomorrow night for the Ghost Tour.
It's the only Friday 13th of 2025.
Let's make it extra evil!

No Ghost Tour last week.
Hopefully people will come this week and I can pay my rent!
In the meantime, I just found this on YouTube. When I got to the story, I was expecting it to just be another one lifted from my book without any reference to it (oh, there's a lot of them!) but no...
This was fun. The story starts after nine minutes.
If you'd been on my Ghost Tour at Hallowe'en before COVID happened, this 'apparition' may be familiar to you.

14 people came along last week, which was welcome. They all stayed until the end. I can't say if they made it through to the next morning.
Remember, my children of the night, The Ghost Tour runs at 8pm on Friday nights outside Holy Trinity Church.
Learn loads about Guildford's history, and it's hauntings, and wonder throughout how I manage to live a normal life as you try and decide if I'm being serious or not.
If you've been, tell people. If you've told people, thank you. Kick them until they come. If you've not been, do it or I'll tap on your windows at night.
