Maybe my nicest ever Cub pack tonight from Ripley. Friday and Saturday were two excellent Ghost Tours with great weather to make up for the washout of 2025. Three lovely groups in a row in spite of me being as horrible as possible. Thank you to everyone who came, and to Clare Shephard for these photos from Friday.
Still the 6th, 13th and 20th November to go (plus an extra one for Christmas on 18th December).

Not long to go before tonight's second 2026 Hallowe'en Tour. Hoping for a crowd as lovely and up for fun as last night's group. They were a joy.
Today I had the amusement of being sent a PM by a 'psychic' who offered their services and when I politely declined they told me I didn't know what I was talking about and blocked me.
WEEP, I did, I tell you!
I mean... you'd think he'd KNOW...

One of my actual recurring nightmares happened tonight for real.
I was taking a private group on a Ghost Tour and when we arrived at one of the stops there was a large group of runners on my regular spot with a guy dressed as Beetlejuice. No, that's not the recurring nightmare bit.
He looked over to us and he said to his group "Look, it's another Ghost Tour!"
That's the bad dream I often have.
Never seen him before and no idea where he'd come from or where he got all his info (if it was from somewhere else).
Just hoping it's a one-off for Hallowe'en and he's part of the running group!
Anyway, don't forget The Ghost Tour of Guildford (the real one!) is happening on Friday AND Saturday this week at 8pm outside Holy Trinity Church. No booking required. Yes, it should be busy (I hope)!

The Ghost Tour of Guildford is now running every Friday night until 20th November at 8pm. Just turn up outside Holy Trinity Church.
Also - of course - on Hallowe'en Night itself on Saturday 31st October. Hopefully the rain holds off this year!
Here's another thing to mention...
Do you have a group that would like a booking? Parties? Work events? Scouts & Guides?
You can have a private group tour any night I'm available. Any time, any duration. Prices from just £80.
If you want to have The Ghost Tour of Guildford as an event, just let me know. I've only got three private bookings in for the Hallowe'en Season this year, so there's some availability.

Sadly, no one turned up to the Ghost Tour tonight. It happens. Just a reminder that the tour is NOT running on Friday 9th October due to another booking but will be back on Friday 16th October at 8pm.

I just tried to put my old promotional video out as an ad on Facebook and I'm not allowed as yesterday I was given a month on the Naughty Step because I mentioned the name of a certain very bad substance taken up the nose by a very bad small man who likes shouting at hotels. Apparently, by saying the word that has similarities to Coca-Cola, I am promoting its use. They have no interest at all if you report threats and Hate Speech, but this was clearly a step too far for them!
So, as I can't advertise at the moment, maybe you'd be good enough to let people know (unless you're one of those few good people who always do so - I know who you are!)
That is, of course, unless you like the little Waxy-Lemon.

Thank you to the diners at Olivo this evening (and the folks on my tour) who made the shouty grumpy old man who was yelling at me look sooooo small. I love the fact he had to finish his meal aware that everyone around him thought he was a moron.

So what's going on next Friday, 14th August?
It's only my bloomin' Silver Jubilee!
Yep, it marks a whole 25 years since I started The Ghost Tour of Guildford on the second Friday in August, 2001.
How am I celebrating?
Just doing a regular tour like I do every week.
But YOU'RE all going to be there, aren't you?
A whole quarter of a century telling people stuff about ghosts in my unique way and STILL no one's asked for their money back.
8pm outside Holy Trinity Church at the top of the High Street.
I wonder if I'll still be around to make it 50 years?

The Ghost Tour is back this Friday night. Getting a train to Edinburgh Fringe on Saturday morning but back for something VEEEEERY special next week.
