Kingsbridge Youth For Christ is a registered charity, No: 1137166, based in the South Hams of Devon, that is passionate about making a real difference to young people in Kingsbridge and the surrounding areas. Our mandate is to:

'Take good news relevantly to every young person in the South Hams'

We do this through a range of formal and non-formal activities at our weekly drop-in, our street te

ams, mobile project, work club, small group work and 1:1 mentoring. Our innovative projects and programmes are designed around meeting real local need and are developed in collaboration with the community in which we live and the young people themselves. We seek to demonstrate, promote and encourage Christian values including, dignity, respect and empowerment by developing friendships built on the foundation of trusting relationships and positive role models. We are proud of, and faithful to our Christian ethos and believe that the ultimate 'good news' is to experience and accept the love of God through Jesus Christ. However we will NOT co-erce, sensationalise or manipulate impressionable minds, only help interested young people explore issues of faith, when appropriate, from a Christian perspective and aid them in their individual journeys to find truth.

Sometimes, for me especially, it can get easy to get lost in theology. I find it all so fascinating, looking back at the past, and asking myself who all those people in the Bible were; what their lives were like, and if they and I shared the same thoughts about what it means to exist in life, the universe and everything.

But I usually find myself coming back to this verse, and just being still, and knowing that God has permeated through history, and knows the thoughts and the lives and everyone who has come before us. And when I sit in stillness, I try and connect with that same God, who runs throughout time and is eternal. The God who sat with the marginalized and felt what they felt, the God who gave courage to David when presented with a monster, and the God who waited for the invitation into people's homes to come and share bread with them.

Peace hasn't always been easy to find, but what I do notice is when I sit still, and allow the storms of my mind to be calmed, Peace will often find me.

Our Story

Welcome to our new look and name – ‘Kingsbridge Youth For Christ’! Formerly known as ‘Spiritulized YFC’ we have been actively involved in the Kingsbridge community and local area for over two decades, sharing the message of Jesus and the Christian faith. We love Kingsbridge and the young people here, and believe there is a rich future, full of potential, for every one of them.

In Today’s culture, we recognise that to see change, there needs to be change; and we believe that a fresh new look and name will lead us into our next chapter as Youth For Christ in Kingsbridge.

In September 2018, Spiritulized YFC relaunched as Kingsbridge Youth For Christ.
