Would we recommend
Yes we would! (Ad)
On the way there, I was trying to work out when I last went. It was 4 years ago! I had fond memories and was looking forward to seeing what it was like 4 years later.
Food: fantastic! We ordered too much (but ate it all), everything was perfect. Beef tartare, buffalo cauliflower, tuna tartare, beef cheek croquettes. Then lamb rump, venison wellington. All 10/10.
Drink: yep! We had Blood Orange Aperol cocktails, refreshing and a little different. Then wine, and I think .leeds supply them as I recognised most of the wine list š canāt go wrong there!
Service: this is what I feel sets it apart. We had such a warm welcome, staff were friendly and helpful, everything was paced perfectly.
Bonus points for the house made chocolates we were treated to at the end⦠itās little touches like this that make all the difference.
More bonus points for folding my napkin when I went to the toilet.
My allergy (tomato) handled very thoroughly. I loved that they served me the Venison Wellington with gravy from the chicken dish so that I could still have it tomato free (the venison gravy contained tomato puree in the stock).
Price: I think reasonably priced! Definitely not cheap, but for quality and portion size very good value for money. They have set menus which are really good value!
Iād definitely recommend this for a date night, meet up with friends or a family meal. When you want a proper restaurant experience, how it should be.
