We HIGHLY recommend getting Dastaan’s Supper Club onto your list! 🇮🇳

Last night we were kindly invited to Dastaan to try out their Awadhi Supper Club, a pre-fixed six course menu celebrating slow cooking and time-honoured recipes.

Over the course of the of two hours, we were taken on a culinary journey, tasting traditional dishes inspired by the royal courts and cobbled streets of Lucknow 🇮🇳

Our faves from the supper club had to be the shami kebab with a rich bone marrow sauce and a flaky paratha, the lamb shank nihari and the dessert; vermicelli simmered in saffron milk, with pistachios and green cardamom, an insaaaane mix of textures and flavours!

In all honesty, we loved each of the six courses - they all brought something completely different to the meal, especially the spiced banana patty with a grape chutney sorbet, seasoned with lots of spices and super refreshing with the sorbet! 🍇

Exciting news… our Leeds guided food tour is now available to book on Fridays!

We’ve always run the guided tours on Saturdays only, but there’s been an increasing number of requests for Fridays, so here we are!

Fridays will be lead by Lynda, and it will be the same incredible experience as Saturday tours: 7 stops at independent restaurants, street food stalls and more.

You need to try this Dim Sum menu, just outside of Leeds 🥢

We tried in Meanwood recently and absolutely adored the dim sum! Honestly some of the best I’ve had (and I’ve eaten a lot of Dim Sim)

Even our very fussy 5 year old tried everything and loved almost all of it, I’ve never ever seen her eat so much.

Highlights were the roast meats, custard bun, roast pork bun, and cuttlefish cakes, but it was all delicious!

It’s 16th October and spaces are very limited.

Save this for inspiration for the rest of the school holidays 😅

Is it just me or has it actually gone really fast so far?

Loads of great family friendly restaurants in Leeds to make the most of the remaining holidays - swipe to see.

My 5 year old’s favourite has always been MEAT:STACK (kids meal £3 during holiday and you get a lot for your money!)

My favourite on the list is Teppanyaki Japanese RestauTeppanyaki Japanese Restaurant Leedsexperience for kids! We got the warmest welcome, it was a lot of fun, and kids eat free in school holidays.

Most of these have a ‘kids eat free’ or very cheap offer on right now, and there’s a blog post on our website with details of them all.
