NEW for This Year — Live Science Fun at the Liskeard Show!

We’re excited to welcome The Science Booth Cornwall to this year’s Children’s Entertainment Marquee for a full day of hands-on science fun and it is completely FREE to attend.

Children can get stuck into interactive workshops and live demonstrations throughout the day, but make sure you arrive early as workshop spaces are limited.

At 11am, 20 children will get the chance to make their very own slime to take home.

At 1pm, don’t miss the fast-paced interactive Science Show packed with exciting demonstrations, audience participation, and plenty of surprises.

Then at 3pm, young food scientists can create their own fizzy sherbet mixture in the Sherbet Workshop.

All activities take place in the Children’s Entertainment Marquee and workshop spaces are available on a first come, first served basis.

Saturday 11th July 2026 — we can’t wait to see you there.

Steer clear of baby deer

BASC is issuing advice to the public to be mindful of pregnant deer and their newborns while visiting the countryside this spring.

Each year, healthy young deer are unnecessarily taken to rescue centres by well-meaning people who believe they need help.

However, disturbing, moving, or touching these newborns can cause their mothers to abandon them.

More information about deer and managing deer populations can be found here: https://basc.org.uk/deer/
