Travel isn't just about ticking destinations off a list—it's about experiences and memories that stay with you long after you return home. As a self-employed Personal Travel Consultant with Hays Travel, I bring my own love of adventure and wellbeing to help craft unforgettable journeys for others. From solo running tours to family holidays, business trips to cruise vacations, I’ve planned them all

. Having explored Norway and Mauritius on solo adrenaline-fueled adventures, raced through the scenic streets of Portugal, Palma, and Krakow with my running club, and carved fresh tracks on the slopes of Val-d'Isère and Andorra with friends, my travels have shaped my knowledge of unique destinations. I’ve also embraced the magic of the open sea, cruising to Boston, Halifax, and St. John, and experienced the festive charm of spending Christmas in New York. One of my most awe-inspiring journeys took me to Egypt, where I explored the fascinating Valley of the Kings, uncovering the rich history of ancient pharaohs. Whether you're seeking an exhilarating escapade or a restorative retreat, I’m dedicated to crafting tailor-made experiences that suit your individual travel aspirations. Let’s make your next journey extraordinary. Hays Travel are fully ABTA and ATOL bonded. All prices are correct at the time of posting but subject to availability and change. 🥾 Looking for more than just sunshine?

When people think of Greek islands, they often picture beautiful beaches and whitewashed villages. Crete certainly has those, but it also offers so much more.

As the largest Greek island, Crete combines stunning coastlines with dramatic mountains, traditional villages, fascinating history and some of the best walking opportunities in the Mediterranean.

Some of the reasons Crete continues to be so popular:

🇬🇷 Authentic Greek culture and hospitality

🥾 Incredible hiking routes, including the famous Samaria Gorge

🏔️ Spectacular mountain scenery and coastal trails

🏖️ Beautiful beaches and hidden coves

🍽️ Fantastic local cuisine and fresh Mediterranean flavours

☀️ Long sunny days and plenty of opportunities to explore

What I particularly like about Crete is that it gives you options.

You can spend one day relaxing by the sea and the next discovering traditional villages, exploring archaeological sites or heading into the mountains for breathtaking views.

For those who enjoy a more active style of travel, Crete offers an ideal balance between adventure and relaxation. Fresh air, movement, sunshine and new experiences can leave you returning home feeling genuinely refreshed.

If your perfect holiday includes a little exploration alongside your beach time, Crete is definitely worth considering.

Have you visited Crete before? What was your favourite part of the island?

🌊 Still one of the best value sunshine escapes... the Algarve continues to be one of the most requested destinations year after year.

And when you look at the coastline, it's not difficult to see why.

The Algarve offers far more than beautiful beaches. It's a destination that combines dramatic scenery, charming towns, fantastic food and opportunities to be as active or as relaxed as you choose.

Some of the reasons travellers love the Algarve:

🏖️ Miles of golden sandy beaches

🌊 Stunning rock formations and hidden coves

🥾 Spectacular coastal walking routes, including sections of the famous Seven Hanging Valleys Trail

🍽️ Fresh seafood, waterfront restaurants and traditional Portuguese charm

☀️ Warm sunshine and excellent value for money

One of the things that appeals to me about the Algarve is the variety. You can spend one day relaxing by the pool and the next exploring cliff top paths with incredible ocean views.

For those who enjoy a more active holiday, there are plenty of opportunities for walking, hiking, cycling and exploring some of Portugal's most beautiful coastal scenery. If slowing down is more your thing, you'll also find peaceful beaches, leisurely lunches and spectacular sunsets.

It's the sort of destination that allows you to holiday at your own pace.

Have you visited the Algarve before? If so, where would you recommend?

☀️ Everyone seems to be looking for a last minute escape right now...

One destination that keeps appearing in my enquiries is Cala d'Or, and honestly, it's easy to see why.

If you're looking for a pre summer getaway before the peak season crowds arrive, Cala d'Or offers a fantastic mix of sunshine, beautiful scenery and a more relaxed atmosphere than some of Mallorca's larger resorts.

🏖️ Stunning sandy coves with crystal clear water
⛵ A stylish marina filled with restaurants, cafés and waterfront dining
🚶 Lovely coastal walks and easy evening strolls
🌊 Calm bays that are perfect for swimming and relaxing
🍹 Plenty of choice without feeling overly busy or nightlife focused

What I particularly like about Cala d'Or is that it feels a little more refined than some of the island's larger resorts. You can spend the day exploring hidden coves, enjoy lunch overlooking the marina and then watch the sunset with a drink by the water.

From a wellbeing perspective, this is the sort of destination that encourages you to slow down. Early morning walks, sea views, fresh air and time away from the daily routine can work wonders before the busy summer season arrives.

If you've been thinking about a last minute holiday, now is a great time to start looking as availability for the most popular dates is beginning to tighten.

📩 Send me a message and I'll happily see what's available for your dates and budget.

🚢 Busy, busy, busy! 🚢

As many of you know, I've spent the last few days exploring the incredible Celebrity Apex, so it's been a very cruise focused weekend for me.

The excitement continued as I helped a fantastic couple secure their August 2026 holiday onboard P&O Azura, where they'll be celebrating a very special birthday. 🎉

But it wasn't just the cruise I arranged.

✅ Cruise holiday
✅ Pre cruise airport hotel stay
✅ Long stay parking
✅ Travel insurance

One booking, one point of contact, and everything taken care of.

The best part? The booking was finalised during a call at 8pm, with them relaxing on their sofa at home. No queues, no call centres, no juggling multiple websites. Just personal service and holiday documents delivered straight to their inbox.

That's the benefit of having a Personal Travel Consultant. I don't just book holidays. I help take the stress out of the planning too.

If you're thinking about a cruise, a family holiday, a city break, or something completely different, I'd love to help.

📞 Call or WhatsApp: 01202 150761
📧 [email protected]

Because booking the holiday is only part of the journey. Having someone there before, during and after your trip is where the real value lies.

🏡 Celebrity Apex Edge Villa | Room 101

During my visit to Celebrity Apex, I had the opportunity to look around one of the ship's most unique accommodation options, Edge Villa 101.

These stunning two storey villas are located within The Retreat, Celebrity's exclusive suite experience. What makes them particularly special is the direct access to The Retreat Sundeck, allowing guests to step straight from their villa into this private area reserved for suite guests.

Inside, the villa is spread across two levels, creating a real sense of space that's hard to imagine on a cruise ship. Floor to ceiling windows flood the suite with natural light, while the private terrace offers a perfect place to sit and enjoy the views.

It's one of those accommodations that genuinely changes the way you experience the ship, combining the excitement of cruising with the feeling of staying in a luxury villa at sea.

Would I stay here? Absolutely.

If you love the idea of a private villa on holiday, why should you miss out simply because you're on a cruise?

For me, Edge Villa 101 is a reminder that travel isn't about choosing between experiences. It's about finding the ones that give you the best of both worlds. 🚢✨

Would you chose an Edge Villa at sea, or a beach villa elsewhere? 👇

✨ ONE YEAR AGO TODAY ✨

It’s strange looking back at this photo now.

At the time, I was excited… but also nervous, uncertain, and wondering whether I could really build something of my own.

One year ago today I started my travel business in association with Hays Travel 💙✈️

I had no idea then how much I was about to learn… not just about travel, but about confidence, resilience, people, business, and myself too.

This past year has brought so many highs:
✨ incredible opportunities
✨ lovely customers
✨ repeat bookings
✨ kind reviews
✨ new friendships
✨ cruise visits
✨ exciting destinations
✨ and moments where I’ve genuinely stopped and thought… “wow, this is actually happening.”

But behind the scenes, there have also been long evenings, learning curves, supplier calls, moments of self doubt, and times where I questioned whether I was good enough or knew enough.

And I think that’s the reality of building something for yourself.

What I’ve learned most is that people are not just looking for a holiday.

They’re looking for someone who listens.
Someone who helps things feel less overwhelming.
Someone who saves them time.
Someone who genuinely cares whether their trip feels right for them.

What I’ve also realised this year is just how stretched people are.

We live in a time where many of us already seek support in day to day life because time feels so limited. We have our shopping delivered, employ cleaners, use click and collect, book mobile car valeting, and look for ways to make life feel a little less overwhelming.

And I think travel now fits into that too.

Because planning a holiday is not always relaxing anymore.

It can mean hours comparing websites, reading endless reviews, understanding luggage rules, researching destinations, sorting transfers, airport parking, insurance, and trying to work out whether you’re actually making the right choice.

We also live so much of life through screens now.

Many people spend all day at desks, on laptops, in meetings, answering notifications, checking emails, and constantly making decisions.

So when it comes to travel, sometimes the last thing people want after a long day is another four hours online trying to piece together the “perfect” trip.

I think there’s something really valuable now in being able to hand some of that over to somebody you trust.

Not because people can’t do it themselves… but because time, headspace, and mental energy have become incredibly valuable.

Sometimes people simply want somebody to say:
“I’ve got this.”

And that’s the part of this job I love most 😊

Helping families reconnect.
Helping couples finally book the trip they keep putting off.
Helping solo travellers build confidence.
Helping busy people actually relax before they even leave home.

Whether it’s a cruise, family holiday, business trip, solo adventure, wellness escape, or even just helping organise a special day out… I genuinely love helping people make the most of their time away.

Because travel is never just about the destination.
It’s about how you feel while you’re there… and sometimes even who you become because of it.

So thank you to every single person who has supported me this past year.
Every enquiry.
Every booking.
Every recommendation.
Every comment, share, and message.

When you run your own business, those things genuinely mean more than people probably realise 💙

And to the version of me in this photo…
I’m really glad you took the leap.

Here’s to year two ✨🌍
