Dogs across Cornwall are barking with joy as we enter September and lots of the summer beach restrictions are lifted for our four-legged friends.

We’ve picked five beautiful beaches across the county to rediscover with your pup this month, that are now free for dogs to run, sniff, and play fetch on 24/7.

As always, keep an eye out for local signage and leave only pawprints behind. 🐾

Mevagissey’s twin harbour, tangle of narrow lanes lined with local shops and cafes, and strong fishing heritage makes it a Cornish village worthy of a visit.

Things to do whilst you’re here:

• Check out the aquarium, located in an old 19th century RNLI lifeboat house on the water’s front.

• Pay a visit to the Mevagissey Museum to learn more about the history of the village.

• Take a walk along the south west coastal path to visit nearby beaches. We love the walks to Gorran Haven or Pentewan.

• Get on the water with a Mevagissey Rib Ride.

Zennor Head is one of Cornwall's most breathtaking stretches of coastline, where rugged granite cliffs and far-reaching sea views create a landscape that's as wild as it is beautiful.

Steeped in folklore, it's also home to the famous legend of the Mermaid of Zennor.

Today, walkers come to Zennor Head to follow the South West Coast Path, where every twist and turn reveals another unforgettable view of Cornwall's north coast.

Some of Cornwall's most spectacular scenery can be found at Tintagel.

Steeped in the legend of King Arthur, this dramatic stretch of Cornwall's north coast is home to breathtaking cliffs and the iconic Tintagel Castle.

It's a place where every path leads to another incredible view, and every visit feels like an adventure.
