What an absolutely fabulous evening we had on our Summer Murder & Mayhem Heritage Walk yesterday evening.

Thank you to everyone who came to enjoy tales of body snatchers, rotting corpses, violent bears, gunshots, slippers and sieges!

We look forward to seeing many of you at our next walk around Heath when you will learn all about Dame Mary Bolles, witchcraft, battles and empire building - keep an eye out for our Eventbrite link coming soon!

Our heritage walk at I Love Heath Common and the folklore of Dame Mary Bolles will be directly affected should the building of this lithium battery field be built.

The experience of 400 years of folklore will be destroyed.

Thank you so much to everyone who came to our Florence Beaumont walk yesterday evening :)

It was bright but freezing cold which only added to the vibrancy of the stories and the shared experiences for everyone involved.

Doesn't St John's church look stunning in the evening light!

We really love doing these walks as part of Dream Time Creative & The Forgotten Women of Wakefield's campaign to raise funds for the Florence Beaumont Sculpture and look forward to our next one, Wakefield Women of the First World War, on the 20th of May.

Just a few tickets left for our Suffragist Heritage walk!

You will laugh (at our terrible acting).

You will be amazed at just how important Wakefield was in the fight for women's rights.

You will hear stories about pigs and horses and cars and strawberry teas, and you will learn why Florence Beaumont deserves a statue!
