Looking for a fresh approach to drawing and painting birds this winter? Join wildlife artist Mark Boyd for one of his inspiring winter workshops.

Mark has a wonderfully refreshing way of teaching - helping you see lines you never knew existed, really look at colour and markings, and most importantly, understand the birds you’re drawing.

Expect plenty of observation, fresh ideas and a chance to develop your own approach to wildlife art. Whether you’re an experienced artist or simply love birds and want to have a go, you’ll come away seeing your subject in a whole new way.

Happy National Wildlife Day!

Wildlife has always been at the heart of Art Safari - from the elephants, lions and giraffes in Zambia, the brown bears and butterflies of Slovenia, the unique endemic animals found in the Galapagos, polar bears in the Arctic, South African wild dogs, and our visit to the Cheetah Conservation Fund in Namibia, this year there is such an incredible array of wildlife to see on an Art Safari 🐻🦁🐘🦭🐆🦒

Over in Herefordshire, Art Safari tutor Shelly Perkins is opening the doors of her home for an Open Studio from 5–13 September. She’ll be sharing her sketchbooks and artwork inspired by her Art Safari to Namibia earlier this year, and would love to see you if you’re in the area.

This stunning cheetah print named 'Resilience' was created from the art safari trip! Perhaps you’d like to chat to her about Under Wild Starry Skies, our very exciting Art Safari to Zimbabwe in July 2027! A trip full of inspiration and adventure!

Secret Suffolk is in full swing, with Mary-Anne and our guests enjoying the River Deben at Hemley, painting the marshes, watching the birdlife and soaking up the changing light.

Destination Guide: South India 2027

What a lovely way to finish our latest Greater Kruger Art Safari with ! Just as the trip was coming to an end, a pack of wild dogs appeared last night - as if they had planned it themselves…And with it being World Wild Dog Day we’re taking that as serendipity!

Are you ready for a liberating and adventurous week of drawing, mark-making and creative exploration with artist Alice Angus?

Alice will be in residence at The Art Haven in Woodbridge throughout the whole week, with a programme of fearless, inspiring and uplifting workshops and events in and around the Art Haven, the harbour and the River Deben.

This is your chance to embrace the unexpected, rekindle your excitement for artistic discovery and draw fearlessly! Across the week, Alice will explore subjects including movement and gesture, sound and dynamics, landscape and perspective.

The drawings created by participants will gradually come together to form a collaborative panoramic installation, which will be exhibited at The Art Haven at the end of the week.
