Yesterday was a big day in the Mott household.

The biggest of the Mott children finished off his final a’level exam and headed off for a summer of adventure.

Starting off in Amsterdam he’ll be interrailing around Europe with his friends.

I’m so enormously proud of him but will spend the summer months in a state of excitement for all he has ahead of him and anxiety because he’s doing it alone.

I’m sure I’m not the only mum of a teen experiencing this over the summer.

Maybe we should create a support group x
