A stroll in the Italian Dolomites 🏔️🇮🇹

Last month, our team went on a familiarisation trip to Val Gardena, discovering just how accessible the Dolomites can be.

Panoramic mountain views, flower-filled meadows and gentle walking routes, with cable cars and funiculars making it easy to reach new heights without the strenuous climbs.

After a day on the trails, there’s time to unwind at the family-run Hotel La Perla, enjoy some traditional Ladin culture or simply settle into a mountain hut for a well-earned drink with a view.

In the Dolomites, the walks don’t have to be difficult for the views to be extraordinary.

When photographer and Inntraveller Anna Moores set out to walk our routes in Slovenia's Julian Alps, we knew we'd be treated to some beautiful photography on her return.

Slovenia has a wonderful way of surprising people. Many travellers arrive with Lake Bled at the top of their list, but often leave talking about the quieter moments instead: a peaceful meadow, a hidden gorge, a majestic mountain view that stopped them in their tracks, or a warm welcome in a small village. Our walking holidays in the Julian Alps weave together both the iconic sights, like Lake Bled and the lesser-known corners.

"Lake Constance is a hidden gem to those not in the know. Whilst Germans have been holidaying here for decades, it's no wonder they wanted to keep it all to themselves. The buzz of the towns, the colourful gardens, the inviting blue waters and the gentle walking are some of the many things you can enjoy here. Überlingen was my particular favourite from exploring the town & spotting a zeppelin hovering over the lake, to watching the sunset to the sound of a saxophonist all whilst a brave beaver swum by.
