Mandalay is enchanting and it’s truly the seat of Myanmar culture. The last city of Myanma Monarchy system as well. The moat, the palace site, Mahamuni Buddha, the golden palace monastery, Mandalay Hill, U Bein Bridge and Kuthodaw Pagoda (World’s Biggest Book) are the highlight places not to miss when visiting Mandalay.

Yangon City walk with the guests from Australia & Singapore.

We went around the city and covering all beautiful colonial buildings, the open-air Ruby market, little Indian town, Mahabandoola park, the book cave, tasting Shan noodles, sweetened tea and more.

was impressive for them and supported locally produced souvenir products.

Thank you shop for sending us these beautiful clients and they really had a great time with us in Yangon.

Golden Rock (Kyaiktiyoe) trip! We drove there with a private car and it took nearly 4 hours including our breakfast stop on the way at 39th mile Shwe Pa Lin teashop. Along the way have some check points and we’ve got to lower down our car windows to let immigration and police checks then we can continue our journey.

Our stay at Mountain Top hotel was such a great experience with spacious room, the view to misty mountains and we have a TV in the room. Our hotel bathroom is with a granite rock decorated naturally which is the same material of the type of Golden Rock temple.

Tasting jungle fruit called “Yay-Tha-Phan-Thee” was our very first experience during our visit.

We did a short trek to other side of Golden Rock pagoda toward Bodi Tahtaung but we couldn’t make it all the way up to there because the 17th April was Myanmar New Year Day and just the end of Thingyan / Water Festival, the youths were still celebrating with loud music, dance and water splashing 💦 to passersby. 😀

The next day we checked in Kadak-creek
#ကဒက်ချောင်း and tried some local foods while we went swimming into the small Kadak-Creek. It’s amazing and truly lovely moment soaking in the cold water coming down all the way from Golden Rock mountain. The family from Chit-Ma-Wa #ချစ်မဝ restaurant just beside the Kadak-Creek where we swam were so friendly and kind to us. We can try some delicious salads and and car park is free of charge there. We strongly recommend to have a lunch there and you’ll never regret it!

On our way back we had sweet pomelo from Mon State and brought some back home!

It’s such a memorable trip to Golden Rock during Myanmar New Year Day.

Thingyan Festival in Myanmar!

Also known as water festival and this is such a very rich cultural event started by the king of Bagan dated back to 11th Century. At one summer time, the king and queens went to the Ayerwaddy River and played water splashing to each other. From that time on, we; Myanmar people embraced this beautiful and fun festival until today every year in the summer time. That makes senses as a tropical weather having country, we need to cool down from the summer heat, some get away to the beaches, some to the mountain like Kalaw city, Pyin Oo Lwin and others cooler stations to avoid from the heat. Most of us remained in the big cities and celebrated this fun festival!!

Welcome 🙏 all of you around the world to come and join this great fun and happy moment to celebrate our Thingyan Festival and Myanmar New Year which falls on the 17th April 2026, this year.

Our happy guest who went to Shwedagon in the early morning to see the illuminated Shwedagon Pagoda with the golden reflection and continued to visit as he said.
