COURTESY VISIT | WORLD BANK GROUP

Hon. Mariama Ciré Sylla paid a courtesy visit to the NHE CEO, Mr Gisbertus Mukulu, following a year of coordination with NHE in her former role as the World Bank Group Resident Representative in Namibia.

The meeting focused on the progress made over the past year, centred on the grant provision for NHE to capacitate the Enterprise for its long-term operations in delivering housing services in Namibia.

The meeting was also attended by the NHE Management and representatives from The World Bank.

Strategic Partnership - NHE and NUST

Today, the Chief Executive Officer of NHE, Mr. Gisbertus Mukulu, received a courtesy visit from Prof. Harmony Musiyarira, Executive Dean: Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment at NUST, and Mr. Kaitira Kandjii, Director of Alumni and the NUST Foundation, to reinforce strategic collaboration between NHE and NUST.

Discussions focused on accelerating land development, advancing skills training, and exploring innovative building technologies.

Both NHE and NUST committed to a long-term partnership through NUST’s Working Integrated Learning (WIL) programme, leveraging the expertise of students and graduates to support the government’s objective of delivering 2,000 informal settlement housing units by April 2026.

The meeting also celebrated NHE’s tuition sponsorship recipient, Ms. Aune Shikongo, recognized as the Best Honours student in Land Administration and for producing the Best Mini Thesis Project for the 2024 academic year. NHE commended her outstanding academic performance.

This sponsorship forms part of NHE’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, which have supported 24 high-achieving students in Urban and Rural Development programmes since 2017.

In attendance were also members of NHE management and representatives from NUST.

NHE Affirms Sponsorship – Miss Namibia to Choose Her New Home

YESTERDAY- At the Miss Namibia Prize Package & Reveal Handover Ceremony, Mr. Alexander Anguwo on behalf of NHE, presented the symbolic key to a brand-new home valued at N$750,000 to Miss Namibia 2025 ,Johanna Swartbooi, who will be given a chance to select her dream home in the country.

This smart partnership with the Namibia Broadcasting Corporation and Miss Namibia takes our housing mandate to a national platform—promoting inclusion, empowerment, patriotism, and nation-building. It affirms our belief in the empowerment of women and recognises the transformative role Miss Namibia plays as a symbol of possibility for all young women.

The National Housing Enterprise (NHE) proudly supports the 2025 Zambezi Bream Festival & Cultural Expo with a sponsorship of N$150,000.00. The sponsorship was handed over to the Katima Mulilo Town Council during a Sponsorship Reveal Ceremony held at the riverside town on Friday, 01 August 2025.

The Enterprise will be exhibiting at the expo scheduled on 4–10 August at the Zambezi Waterfront Park.

Exciting News|| Progress on the NHE Walvis Bay- Kuisebmond Extension 9 , Phase 1 housing development project.

The site handover took place on the 28 July 2025 in Walvis Bay, with servicing and construction set to commence on 4 August 2025.

Phase 1 will see the construction of 64 housings units , followed by 84 units in Phase 2 bringing the total to 151 quality houses.
