Today began our journey home.

Disembarkation was quick. Passengers need to leave their cabins by 8AM. As an Elite member, we we had a dedicated meeting spot serving coffee, juices, danish etc. Within 10 minutes our group was called.
Immigration was very efficient using facial recognition. In less than 15 minutes we were in a taxi and on our way back to the hotel to pick up our car🚗.

We got on the road around 8:30 this morning arriving in Macon, Georgia around 10:30 this evening.

A sidebar, when stopping in Valdosta, Georgia at a Sam's Club for gas, we needed to clean our windshield; but couldn't locate the cleaning fluid or squeegee. We asked the attendant who said "you get cheap gas not clean windows here"🤣🤣• guess he told us!
So, we stopped at another station to clean the windshield. In hindsight my quick stop to use their bathroom was a mistake😬 hands down most dilapidated and dirty bathroom ever. Thank goodness for sanitizing wipes.

A pit stop in Macon, Georgia at Buc-ee's for brisket sandwich was the highlight of our day

Sigh~ today was a sea day, our last day of the cruise.

After enjoying the last breakfast on our balcony we packed & got our "checked" luggage ready for later this evening. After years of cruising, we prefer getting that out of the way so we can enjoy the remainder of the day.

*We took a walk around the ship.
*Had some OBC (onboard credit) left so we ordered a few pictures.
*Wrote a few thank yous; one for our cabin steward and one for the Guest Service Director Fernando.
*Went to the buffet for lunch. They had a huge seafood selection, fondue station etc
*The balcony was calling me ~ spent a few hours reflecting on our cruise and taking in the last of the salty sea air.
*After dinner, we picked up the pictures we ordered and went back to our cabin to put our "checked" luggage outside our cabin. In the morning after we disembark the luggage will be inside the terminal.
*Our carry-ons are packed, tomorrow's clothes out~

Final day at sea

Sea day 80° & 🌞
We've had really nice weather the entire trip.

I spent the day on our balcony watching & listening to the sounds of the ocean while reading on my Kindle. Pure bliss.

There was a knock on our door in the early afternoon. (We had an issue earlier in the cruise with a leak under our bathroom sink. It was resolved quickly and the cruise continued) To our surprise we received a bottle of wine with a very nice note from the Guest Service Director, Fernando.

My afternoon continued on the balcony, listening to the waves, reading on my Kindle, and drinking wine 🍷

Before I knew it, the sun was setting and it was time for dinner. Tonight was Elegant night ~surf & turf.

Afterwards we watched an adult comedy show. Lots of laughs.

Tomorrow is another sea day and the last day of our 🛳

Already dreading packing and saying good bye to some fantastic crew members.
