Let’s explore the Adriatic Coast ⚓️

Starting in Dubrovnik, also referred to as the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’. This city offers a unique mix of rich history, maritime power legacy, and pop-culture fame - anyone heard of Kings Landing? This UNESCO-listed medieval town sits in the Adriatic Sea surrounded by crystal clear water and massive city walls that have witnessed invasions and natural disasters throughout the centuries without ever falling.

Mljet is the greenest island in Croatia with first mentions in the 6th century BC. The western side is designated as a national park where you can visit the Benedictine monastery on St. Mary’s island. Explore Odysseus’s cave, go for a swim in the salt water lake, or take a leisurely hike/bike ride on the mystical trails that flourish with wild orchids in the springtime.

A few captures from our time in Arusha National Park, Tanzania at Entara Koroi Forest Camp!

This Little Bee Eater was loving the last rays of sun that lit up insects for easy catching. Notice the hint of blue above the eye!

Entara Koroi Forest camp is named for the Colobus monkeys whose live in the glade and make their daily morning call to greet the day. Their fluffy bright white tails often give them away in the forest canopy and it is amazing to watch them forage for leaves, play and occasionally hop along the glade!

Greater Flamingoes found in Lake Momella, a shallow alkaline water source where these birds do a little dance to shake up the algae and shrimp for dinner.

The sunbirds were everywhere the blooms were in the forest busily sucking up nectar and letting their neighbors know where the good stuff is!

The big male of the Baboon troop we spent time observing, watching us and fluffing up his fur to intimidate ensuring we didn’t get any closer to all the females with babies. They felt safe enough to continue grazing and grooming under his care.
