I know we just got here, but if you're thinking about traveling over the next few months...it's already time to start looking ahead. 👀

Holiday travel. Winter getaways. Spring break.

Those dates have a funny way of feeling so far away...until suddenly they're not. 😂

So enjoy the pumpkin spice and cooler weather, but don't forget about that vacation you've been talking about.

Senior parents...how are we doing a little over a month in? 😂

Because over here, we've already had Senior Jeans, Senior Sunrise, college visits, college applications, essays, dance clinics, the senior meeting, scheduled senior pictures...not really sure why we have these, but okay 😂...and we're figuring out the details of that graduation trip.

And we're only a MONTH in. 😩😂

So, can we talk about planning a break?

And nope, I'm not talking about their senior trip.

I'm talking about getting something on the calendar that has absolutely nothing to do with a senior checklist.

A few days away. A family vacation. A chance to slow down and make some memories with these kids before they're off starting their next chapter.

Because somewhere between the applications, activities, pictures, meetings and ALL the things we're trying to remember...

this is still our time with them, too. ❤️

And if the thought of planning one more thing makes you tired, I get it. 😂 You don't even have to know where you want to go.

Summer gets all the attention...

but there's something about a fall getaway. 🍂✈️

Cooler weather. Smaller crowds. A change of scenery.

Maybe it's a long weekend somewhere new.

Maybe it's finally taking that adults-only escape.

Or maybe you just need a few days where nobody needs anything from you. 😂

For me, Universal Orlando is one of those places that's just better in the fall.

Cooler temps make those park days a little easier, and there's something about Universal this time of year that just hits different.

You can spend the day casting spells in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, come face-to-face with the monsters in Dark Universe, and if you're brave enough...end the night at Halloween Horror Nights. 🎃

It's the perfect mix of fun, thrills, and a little spooky and a great excuse for a fall getaway.

I hope you never need travel insurance. ❤️

Seriously.

I hope your flights are on time, your luggage arrives with you, and your vacation goes exactly as planned.

But if it doesn't...

You'll be glad you planned for that, too.

That's why I recommend travel insurance to my clients. It's not because I expect something to go wrong.

Do something different on vacation. ❤️

On our anniversary trip to Maui, I surprised my husband with our very first helicopter ride.

He wanted to do it.
Me? Absolutely NOT. 😂

But somehow, I booked it anyway...and even upgraded us to first-class seats. (I didn't even know helicopters had first class!)

We flew over Haleakalā Crater, the Seven Sacred Pools, beautiful waterfalls and some of the most incredible views of Maui.

And you know what?

I would do it all over again.

Sometimes the best vacation memories come from trying something completely new, even the thing you were pretty sure wasn't for you.

This was definitely one of those experience-of-a-lifetime moments. ❤️
