One of our favorite things on our Disney Cruise was coming back to our cabin each night to a new friend and chocolates! The cabin hosts work so hard to meet your every need. They greeted us by name everyday and were always pleasant! I was sad to have to come home and make my own bed🤣🤣

Dining on the Disney Destiny was so enjoyable! Disney uses rotational dining where you get to experience a different dining room each night on a 4 night cruise. 1923 was our first night. You are assigned a table number and that number is consistent through the entire cruise. Your servers get to know you and know your preferences. You can request a table to fit your family size or you can share a table with other families.

On our second night we went to the specialty, adult dining, Palo. The view of the ocean and the sunset were perfect and sharing a great meal with our son and his wife was so enjoyable❤️ The kids went to kids club and had so much fun! I would highly recommend grabbing a reservation when your extras booking opens up! It sells out fast. They offer a pre-fix menu or you can order ala carte.
Don’t skip dessert! The chocolate lava cake was amazing!!

The third night was pirate night! This night we ate in the Marvel dining room. Again, the food and service were great and we loved seeing everyone dressed for the occasion! The night ended with fireworks at sea, we all enjoyed every minute!

Our last night dinner was at Prideland! It was a Lion King themed dinner with live entertainment. The show was great and so was the dinner!

Each dining room had a unique menu but had something for everyone. Portions were not big but you were welcome to order as many as you wanted. We ate dessert every night and even had ice cream on the deck in the evening!

The buffet, Marceline’s Market was perfect for breakfast and lunch. One thing I love about the buffet is that guests cannot serve themselves. The buffet has Cast Members serving which minimizes food contamination and the passing of germs on the serving utensils. There is something for everyone! They are very in tune with asking guests about food allergies and do their best to meet everyone’s needs.

Overall, our dining experience was great. If I compare the food to selections on other cruise ships, I would say that this is an area that Disney could improve. The presentation was great but the food quality could have been a little better. Believe me, we never went hungry and it would not change my mind about Disney cruising! If you are a foodie and have a high appreciation for fine dining, it might miss the mark, but as a mom and grand mother, I loved someone waiting on me and not having to cook!!

If you have questions or want to learn more about cruising on Disney Cruise Line, just comment “Disney” and I will reach out to you!

Next up, Kid's Club aboard the Disney Destiny!

Where was this when our kids were young?? Cruising on the Disney Destiny provides non-stop magic for kids of all ages. From toddlers to teens, Disney Cruise Line has the coolest places with immersive play, themed activities, and opportunities to make magical memories!

We traveled with two of our grandchildren, boy age 9 and girl age 6. They got to participate in the Oceaneer Club (for kids 3 to 10). Before we boarded the ship, they were a little apprehensive but excited about Kid's Club and their first visit only lasted about 30 minutes. After that there was no looking back! They asked to go to Kid's Club every time there was a break in the action. Our grandson said, "things I liked the best were the Stars Wars area where I hacked the system, the Marvel area with Spider Man, and the Imagineering Lab." Our granddaughter said, "she loved the arts and crafts", every time we picked her up, she had another work of art.

Kid's Club offers "it's a small world" nursery for children 6 months to 3 years, Edge for children 11 to 13 and Vibe for children 14 to 17. Disney definitely offers something that most other cruise lines don't. After registering the children on arrival. They could check in at the slide or at the check in station. We always felt safe letting them go, the Youth Activity Counselors were awesome. When the kids were ready to be picked up, we received a text message and we picked them up. They are already planning their next Disney Cruise adventure.

Whether your kids love crafts, dress-up, storytelling, tech games or imaginative play, the Kid's Club on Disney Cruise Line are one of the biggest highlights of the cruise, and it gives you a chance to enjoy some adult time too!!

Where do I begin? I am just going to eat this elephant one bite at a time! Our cruise on the Disney Destiny was amazing! First and foremost, book a Disney Cruise as fast as you can. Remember, I am a Certified Disney Travel Planner and would love to help you plan your next Disney Cruise adventure! Disney is currently offering some great promotions! Message me to learn more🚢

My first thought is book a 5 night cruise at a minimum. The embarkation day is over in a flash. We had 2 beach days, one day each at Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Loved them both, each offers something different but the walk to Lighthouse Point was a little long for littles or someone with mobility issues. After dinner our last night (at sea day) I spent over an hour repacking us in order to get our luggage out for disembarkation and by the time I was done, most final activities were over😭.

It goes so fast! There is so much to do, you will never do it all in 3 or 4 days. The character meet and greets, movies on the Pool Deck, the shows (we saw Frozen and Hercules) are amazing! We really focused on activities that included our grandkids. We didn’t participate in things like Bingo or Trivia but we loved everything we did! Pirate Night and the Silent Disco were family.

Next up, Kids Club from the kid’s perspective. Stay tuned!!

My ❤️! This trip has been over a year in the making! I've been following so many families on their cruises and now it's finally our turn. Am I the only one who gets pre-travel jitters? Whether I'm planning a trip for my family or amazing clients, I want everything to be flawless. I've thought of everything, made lists, and double-checked! Will it be perfect? Probably not. But it's all about attitude and making memories with family.

We booked this cruise when the reservations first opened for the inaugural season of the Destiny! Did you know the earlier you book, the lower the cost? It is all about supply and demand! As the ship fills up the prices go up. My advice is book early for the best price and the best stateroom! If you need some help planning a Disney cruise, message me! Kids sail for 50% off with two paying adults! This won’t last forever.
