Hershey Pup and I took a stroll around charming downtown Milton, DE the other evening. Enjoyed good music outside the Milton Theatre “quayside” on the river. Everyone looked to be having a great time!
(Every Thursday evening through the summer)

Then, we set our sights on the beautiful summer season flowers along the river walkway. Planted and maintained by the awesome Milton Garden Club volunteers!

Finished our walk along the falls of Wagamons Pond flowing into the Broadkill river and eventually out to Delaware Bay.

Love this little town of Milton!! 😊👍

Hershey Pupster and I did a HOT HIKE in Redden State Forest today. 94+ degrees in the shade and no breeze. Whew!

It was beautiful in the forest, but I cut our hike a bit short as Hershey was getting overheated. 🥵 🐶 Canine heat exhaustion is no joke, and just as with humans we keep an eye out for the signs.

Just finished a nice little hike with Hershey Pup at the Edward H. McCabe Preserve in Milton. So peaceful and serene there today! Heard an owl hooting.

And, surprisingly, only encountered 3 mosquitoes! Post-hike “tick-check” turned up zero ticks on either Hershey or me. 👍

Me and Hershey Pup chillin’ along The Riverwalk path in Milford, Delaware. 🐶 🐾 ❤️ (About 15 minutes north of our property)
It runs along the Mispillion River that eventually empties into Delaware Bay.

As with Milton, DE, 10 minutes south of us, Milford also has a history for early American ship building in the late 1800s and first half of the 1900s. ⛵️

Among the many fabulous rewards of our full-time RV travels has been the privilege of embracing local history throughout the U.S. and Canada. Learning the history of bygone eras in small local villages, towns, and regions, across the country has been incredibly fascinating! 😁

💥 Preparing for a couple “Meet the Authors & Hershey Pup” book signing events this summer! 📚 🐶 🐾

We just had our first table-top display board printed to spotlight our childrens’ book, “Hershey Pup Discovers New England’s State Birds & Flowers” - Book #1 in the Hershey Pup RV Adventures series. Love how the display board turned out! 😊

Jeanne Gage Anderson, Hershey Pup and I will be doing “Meet the Authors & Hershey Pup” events at a local pet supply shop in Milford, DE, and at the Milford Public Library for their annual Local Authors Meet & Greet event. Can’t wait to finalize the dates!!!! 📚 🐶 🐾 ❤️

P.S. Believe it or not, we’ve just about finished the manuscript and illustration mock-ups for Book #2 in the Hershey Pup RV Adventures series. It’s been taking waaaaaay too long! 🙄

This was fun! We were interviewed yesterday for a feature article in Delaware Living Magazine! The article will highlight our fulltime RV travels, Hershey Pup’s children’s book, and, of course, Hershey Pup.
Chelsea, the magazine’s Communication Specialist/Writer, was delightful. And, she lavished Hershey Pup with his favorite attention: belly rubs!

The article in Delaware Living Magazine will publish in August.

Sometimes Hershey Pup feels unwanted in places. 😢 But, we get it and follow the rules.
We were able to find a permissible pup-friendly beach access and he was happy! 🐶🐾❤️😁

Ahh, nice memories! Jeanne, Hershey Pup and I have enjoyed a few explorations of Charleston, SC on our RVing journeys! One of the best places we’ve stayed there is at James Island County Park Campground. It’s an excellent campground and a mere 15-minute easy peasy drive right into the historic district of Charleston.
Looking forward to going back!!

Yay! Woof! Hershey Pup’s children’s book is now in BOTH the Milton and now Milford, Delaware public libraries.

And kids have his book checked out at each library. This is so much fun! 🐶🐾❤️

Our Hershey Pup turned 6 today! 🎉 He had a fun birthday celebration with presents and treats. 🎁 🎂 🐶

This furball has blessed our lives immeasurably since he joined us when he was a mere 10 weeks old! LOVE our pup! 🐶 🐾 ♥️
