Island Girl Charter Customers,
Sorry I have not updated social media in a while, but there has been a lot going on lately. In March, I was hospitalized due to the flu and loss of my eye sight. Many days in the hospital and specialists visits later, a retinal doctor at Duke University Hospital diagnosed me with Acute Macular Neuroretinopathy (AMN). As the weeks have gone by, I am getting improvements with my vision, however not well enough to run charters this summer. This brings me great sadness because I love being on the water and sharing my love of fishing and Hatteras Island with all of my loyal and new customers, especially the kids!
In the good news department, I will be graduating from ECU on Friday, May 8th, Magna Cum Laude, with a degree in Elementary Education. Despite all the set backs this spring, I still managed to make it through school!
This post is not a good bye, just a see you soon!
Look forward to seeing you guys in the summer of 2027.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year! We have upgraded the motor on the boat from a 2002 Yamaha 115 to a 2018 Suzuki 140. I am super excited to see how it will run this summer, thank you everyone for your support, I look forward to getting on the water in May.

Been slacking on the posts but been lucky enough to be that busy!! We've had a great catch of spanish mackerel and bluefish, lots of island time, clamming, and most importantly making sure the kids are having a good time! We have also slipped out a few miles offshore the last week and caught some dolphin and even a sailfish!
I return back to college August 25th, so let's go fishing these last few weeks! 252-473-7135

So awesome to see these kids out on the water and catching fish!! Speckled trout season opened back up on July 1st. Plenty of bluefish, trout, spanish mackeral, and drum around. Let's take the kids and go fishing! 252-473-7135

As we come into the New Year, I'd like to thank everyone for our 2024 fishing season. We had lots of amazing people and families on board this past summer and we cannot wait to see what summer of 2025 brings us. We ended our fishing season catching a few more big drum and we've also been keeping our lines tight on the beach catching puppy drum and black drum!

Emma will be a junior this fall, attending East Carolina University. She is majoring in Elementary Education, with a concentration in reading. During the summer months, she runs her inshore charter business, Island Girl Charters.

For our last trip of the season, I was lucky enough to take this homeschooling group! We got enough clams for a big seafood boil, then went to the island for swimming. Starting today I started my junior year at East Carolina University, I will still be offering trips Friday, Saturday and Sundays! Give me a call and thank you for an amazing summer!
