For all of our guests in, please note that although it is a holiday weekend, there will be no changes to the Dare County Public Works trash collection schedule for the week of Memorial Day 2025, so please remember to put your cans out for regular trash pick-up service.

As a reminder:
*Buxton, Frisco, and Hatteras are picked up on Mondays and Thursdays (residential)
*Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo, and Avon are picked up on Tuesdays and Fridays (residential)

The Dare County Public Works Department will host a three-day household hazardous waste collection event in three separate locations from Thursday, May 8, 2025 through Saturday, May 10, 2025.
