A few weeks ago, a client called me about planning a 50th birthday trip. She had 3 maybe 4 couples in mind. A beautiful adults-only resort, good food, good wine, time with her favorite people to celebrate her husband's milestone birthday. Simple enough, right?

Then word got out.

One couple told another couple. Someone texted their friends from college. A group chat started. And before long, what began as a small intimate getaway had grown to 15 couples — and is still growing.

Here's the thing though. Nobody is upset about it. Because somewhere along the way this stopped being just a birthday trip. It became a reunion. A gathering of people who don't see each other enough and needed a reason to finally all be in the same place at the same time.

Now we're planning a welcome cocktail party, a private group dinner, a golf day for the guys, and a spa day for the ladies. It feels less like a vacation and more like a celebration of friendship — with one very special birthday guy at the center of it all.

This is what group travel actually looks like when it's done right. And it almost didn't happen because someone thought it was too much to ask their friends to join them.

It never is. 💛

Twenty five years ago I was chasing two little boys down this beach. 🌊

I had no idea then what this place would come to mean to our family.

We came back year after year. I watched them grow up here — in these pools, on this sand, in this water.

Those little boys are grown men now. Both married to women I absolutely love. And one of them — I still can’t quite believe it — has a baby of his own. 🥹

Walking through Beaches Turks and Caicos, past all the places that hold little pieces of our family’s history, I was not expecting to feel what I felt. That rush of nostalgia just kind of washed over me. The memories were everywhere.

I won’t lie — I got a little teary. 🥺

Happy tears. The kind that come when a place has loved your family back for 25 years and you know in your heart it’s not done yet.

Because someday — and I am already planning it in my head — Mimi and Papa are bringing everyone back. The boys, their wives, and that sweet baby 💙

Last night I had dinner with the General Manager of Sandals South Coast — and the vision he shared for what’s coming is something I couldn’t wait to tell you about.

As a Chairman’s Royal Club agency, I’ve had the privilege of being in rooms like this one. And I can tell you: what’s coming on November 18th is not just a reopening. It’s a reinvention.

🌊 The main pool has been completely reimagined. The large tower is gone — replaced with unobstructed views straight to the beach. More palm trees. More tropical. More Sandals.
