In the hardest moments, you see the very best of Kauaʻi.

The day after the hurricane, while our island was beginning to understand the extent of the damage, some truly incredible people showed up at Whalers Cove ready to help.

We want to extend a heartfelt mahalo to Marvin Otsuji and the entire Sea Sport Divers team, Jurassic Jeeps Kauaʻi, Marc Esposito, and Gregory Blore of Aloha Photo Design.

They didn’t wait to be asked. They showed up, rolled up their sleeves, and helped wherever they could.

That kind of generosity says so much about the community we are fortunate to be part of. In the days following the storm, we have been reminded again and again that recovery is about more than rebuilding property. It is about people taking care of one another.

From all of us at Whalers Cove Resort, mahalo for standing beside us when we needed it most. Your kindness, hard work, and aloha will not be forgotten.

Kauaʻi, we’re with you. 💙🌺

Our hearts are with our island community as we begin the long road to recovery following the hurricane. Like so many across Kauaʻi, Whalers Cove Resort has experienced the impacts of the storm, and our thoughts are first and foremost with our guests, owners, neighbors, employees, and the ʻohana who call this island home.

In challenging moments like these, we’re reminded of what makes Kauaʻi so special: the way our community comes together, looks out for one another, and finds strength in ʻohana, aloha, and hope.

We are incredibly grateful for the first responders, utility crews, local businesses, volunteers, and countless community members working around the clock to help Kauaʻi recover.

With power outages and spotty cell service affecting many areas, we know communication can be difficult. Please be patient with one another, and know that we are doing everything we can to stay connected, assess the situation, and support our guests and owners.
