How do people feel about AI renderings? I'm having pretty good luck with it, I think.

Here is one of my favorite projects from many years ago. The beautiful weather has me thinking about outdoor space and how much this particular solution improved the lives of this family. Interesting story, they asked for a stair, they received a solution that not only solved their problem of accessing the back yard, but blends into the landscape, avoids awkward, unusable space underneath stairs typically found, and was designed to endure the elements. In fact, the bluestone treads (a type of sandstone) can be removed without tools so the entire thing can be pressure washed, paint touched up, or entirely repainted when the weather takes its toll. Concrete naturally handles weather well and we chose exposed aggregate so it would match (and it did beautifully) The design takes into account the topography, as we created a landing on a naturally high part of the yard, and extended the retaining wall and blended the stair with the landscape. This is the kind of thoughtful design and building methods that are core to our values and create enduring, delightful impacts on the built environment. Please reach out if you have some ideas or needs and would like your home improved with this level of care. Jacob

Progress is happening at the North Portland basement conversion project. It's always awesome to see how our planning and hard work results in such an incredible matrix of structure and utilities... All to create seamless, clean spaces. Once the drywall goes on, you'd never know how much challenging work had to happen to get it to look (and work) like it will. Here's a video showing a lot of the detail that our team, painstakingly goes through to ensure that everything is right.

Seismic upgrades for your basement can enhance safety and comfort while adding value to your home. Don't wait for the next big quake—invest in your peace of mind today!

Here, we've installed a special system. This system utilizes stout framing and closed cell spray foam to strengthen an old foundation. This engineered system requires a new footing, a sheeted wall and lots of hardware.

Questions? I'd love to get a conversation going about this.

I love this time of year when the dogwoods and azalea's are flowering. Adding this porch, really created a fantastic living space and increased the curb appeal of this home dramatically. Have you considered how a new front porch could change the way your home lives? We're experts at designing and building them!
