Introducing ODYSSEA’s newest first mate Zack!!

We can’t wait for everyone to meet him! We are so pumped to have you on our team Zack!

Born in Sacramento and raised in Boston, Zachary has always been drawn to the outdoors and the thrill of new experiences. Whether it’s snowboarding, hiking, or diving into the nearest body of water, he’s happiest outdoors… preferably somewhere without cell service.

Before settling in San Diego eight years ago, Zach spent his twenties diving up and down the New England coast, where he eventually crossed paths with Captain Fletcher. What started as a casual hobby with friends turned into a full-blown passion, one that’s since taken him from Rhode Island to Baja, Maui, Puerto Rico, and St. John. For him, the ocean has always been the best place to quiet his mind and see what the world has to offer beneath the surface.

With over 15 years in hospitality, hands-on deckhand experience as a safety diver on bluefin tuna charters, and countless self-guided dives under his belt, Zach brings a mix of calm confidence, quick puns, and a genuine love for life at sea. As Odyssea’s First Mate, he’s working toward his captain’s license and scuba instructor certification— continuing to build a life that revolves around the water, good people, and new adventures!
