Have you experienced Ocean Allure Costa Mujeres? When construction started, it was going to be a family friendly resort but then they pivoted to make it adults only.

I spent 2 nights here recently and had so much fun even though I was traveling solo. There was a silent disco party in the bowling alley, bingo in the sports bar, surf lessons on the wave surfer, and hours spent floating the lazy river. I can’t wait to go back with friends!

What if I told you Temptation Cancun Resort by Original Resorts & Cruises probably isn’t what you think it is?

Before I arrived, I expected the headlines everyone talks about. And yes, this is a topless-optional resort, and yes, it’s welcoming to lifestyle travelers. But if that’s all you know about Temptation, you’re missing the bigger picture.

What surprised me most was the atmosphere. People come here to have fun. The energy is contagious, the entertainment keeps the party going from morning to late night, and somehow the food completely exceeded my expectations.

The biggest surprise? The number of repeat guests. I met people who have been back 10, 20, even 30+ times. That kind of loyalty doesn’t happen by accident. It’s the staff who remember your name, the friendships guests build year after year, and the feeling that everyone is simply there to let loose and enjoy themselves.

Temptation isn’t for everyone, and it doesn’t try to be. But if you’ve written it off based on what you’ve heard, you might be surprised by what it’s actually like.

If you’re traveling during hurricane season, you need to pack your patience (actually, you should always pack this).

It’s just a tropical depression off the coast, but that’s enough to cause delays. Fortunately everyone seemed to take it in stride and things stayed calm when we had to deplane for the delay.

First impressions are everything, and W Punta Cana, Adult All-Inclusive did not disappoint!

The open air portion of the lobby is filled with greenery and soft seating so it never felt too hot.

Plenty of seats around The Living Room if you want to be outdoors.

Gorgeous reflecting pools border the edge of the lobby space

Covered walkway leading to the Wet Deck and the beach - can you see the beautiful blue water waiting at the end??

Food is totally subjective, but these are a universal favorite unless you don’t eat shrimp!

Hey friends, if you or someone you know has an upcoming Spirit Airlines flight, please read this.

Reports this week are indicating that Spirit could begin liquidating as early as the next few days. They've been trying to recover from their second bankruptcy in less than a year, and a sudden spike in fuel costs may be what finally pushes them over the edge. Spirit hasn't confirmed anything, but the chatter is serious enough that you don't want to wait and see.

If you're booked on Spirit, here's what to do right now: pull up your itinerary and start checking prices on other airlines for the same route. If they do shut down, seats on other carriers will fill up fast and prices will jump. The sooner you start looking, the better your options will be.

As a travel advisor, I don't typically book ultra low cost carriers like Spirit for my clients. When something goes wrong, the lack of flexibility and support just isn't worth the savings. That said, I know travel is personal and everyone makes their own call. If any of my clients find themselves on a Spirit flight when things go sideways, I'm still showing up for them to help figure it out.

Honestly it's a medical necessity at this point. Here's what I'm recommending right now:

Atelier Playa Mujeres: It’s been named the best all-inclusive for foodies in Mexico, and once you enjoy a meal here, you will absolutely know why.

Impression Isla Mujeres: You arrive by private catamaran, have a personal butler from the moment you land on the island, and the rooftop infinity pool overlooking the sea is next level.

Le Blanc Spa Resort, Cancun: Five diamond service, butler service, and private whirlpool tubs in every suite. This one is for when you really need to decompress.

Sandals Royal Barbados: Two resorts, one price. Add a rooftop infinity pool, a 4-lane bowling alley, and 20+ restaurants to choose from and you have yourself a really good time.

Sugar Beach, St. Lucia: Nestled between the UNESCO World Heritage Pitons with private plunge pools, butler service, and a rainforest spa that people genuinely rave about.

At all these resorts, you arrive, you exhale, someone else handles the rest. Save this for when you've finally had enough of your own to-do list.
