Unheard of - 35 Day Segment of the Grand World Voyage Fort Lauderdale to Sydney on January 5, 2027 on Volendam just popped up on the Standby list. From $99 per person per day for an Inside or Oceanview cabin, you can can take off on your first Grand World Adventure, as long as you are willing wait until 7 days to 2 days prior to be confirmed with available space.

That is still enough time to get your electronic pass for Australia, and enough time to shop for a flight home. Looking for a last minute adventure that takes you to Easter Island, Pitcairn, French Polynesia, and finally pull into gorgeous Sydney Harbor. Let's go!

What's so different about the 2028 Grand World Voyage of 129 Days from the prior versions?

Antarctica - The route initially covers the Eastern coast of South America and Antarctica, much like the 2026. If you haven't been to the Antarctic yet, this is a great opportunity to get there.

New Zealand - The 2028 makes 6 stops in New Zealand, in which the 2026 had only two stops, and the 2027 has zero stops.

Africa - Varied stops in Africa compared to the 2027, including an overnight in Capetown.

Komodo Island - Entirely skipped on the 2027 Grand World, Komodo Island is back for those huge reptiles

When your Holland America voyage includes an overnight in Alexandria - sign up for a two day/1 night adventure to see the highlights of Cairo. After your three hour drive into Cairo, step back in time with a visit to the Citadel and the Mohammed Ali Mosque. Next take in lunch on a Nile Riverboat before heading to the Museums to see the ancient wonders. In the evening and checking into your included hotel room, head to the Giza Pyramids Sound and Light Show, then return to the hotel to rest for another big day.

Nieuw Amsterdam Makes First Call of Season at Relax Away, Half Moon Cay

Holland America Line’s new Beach Club at Relax Away, Half Moon Cay is officially open. 🏝️

Guests sailing on the 12-Night Panama Canal Discovery: Costa Rica & Greater Antilles cruise on Nieuw Amsterdam called at Relax Away, Half Moon Cay on October 19, and were some of the first guests to experience the new amenities on the island.

In addition to the Beach Club, guests will enjoy a new food pavilion, upgraded cabanas, additional daybeds and beach seating, renovated bars, and our four pickleball courts.
