A splash that can be heard for miles! 🌊🐋

Did you know that a humpback whale’s breach is actually a powerful communication tool? Marine biologists believe these massive breaches are used to send acoustic signals to distant whales, especially when background noise from wind or waves makes vocalizing difficult.

We lucked out with this spectacular view from the Morning Glory the other day.

Bear sighting season is officially here in Sitka!

If you look closely at the shots, you’ll see something incredibly special: a mama bear with three cubs! Spotting a mom with triplets is a rare treat out here, and it was hands down the highlight of our week.
