Did you know that Otter serial number 419 (N727KT) originally served with the Myanmar Air Force (formerly Burma)? One of nine De Havilland Otters delivered to Myanmar in the 1960s, this aircraft remained in service until it was retired in 1985. After several years in storage, it made its way to Vancouver in 1989. Over the next decade, it flew for both Kenmore Air in Washington and Taquan Air in Ketchikan before joining our fleet in 2002. For the past 23 years, N727KT has been a reliable and valued part of our operations!

Mount Huntington is a dramatic 12,241-foot (3,731-meter) peak located within Denali National Park. Renowned for its steep, pyramid-like shape, the mountain’s face rises sharply from surrounding glaciers. While lower in elevation than others in the Alaska Range, it is a technically demanding peak. The first successful ascent was made in 1964 by a French expedition led by famed alpinist Lionel Terray, via the Northwest Ridge now named The French Ridge.
