I’ve gone through a lot of phases in my life. I started college as a premed student and quickly realized it wasn’t the path for me.
I then switched to early childhood education and went into teaching, but knew that I couldn’t be the mom I wanted to be as a teacher. I stayed at home after having my daughter and had an online retail shop for natural parenting, but once I realized my husband didn’t want more kids I was a bit soured on continuing that prospect.
Then, after a health scare in 2012 I found myself on a path to wellness and started helping others to reach their healthy selves that way as well. I continued in that industry for about ten years and in the midst also started a cottage food bakery.
Seems a bit like an oxymoron but I’m all about balance and love baking and a good treat!
I quickly realized that from a financial standpoint (and the fact that I was a one woman show who was tired of dishes, being on my feet and the long hours every weekend) that I needed something more sustainable.
A few years ago I realized many people were still using travel agents and I thought that was a thing of the past. We used one for our destination wedding. Went into a store front and everything, but I had been doing all the tedious research and planning ever since because I use the internet. Yes, it took hours of my life, but I really enjoyed it.
Once I realized there was a need for this after asking another travel agent to help with an all inclusive trip and getting terrible suggestions back 🤯 I knew that I could do this better and really help people that don’t have time to spend researching every little thing.
I know that I’ll be successful because I’m all in. I want everyone’s trip to be the best experience and easy going during travel so they can relax and explore at their leisure.
It’s definitely harder than it looks and there is always room for improvement, but I continue with educating myself everyday.
