🌎 Happy Earth Day! 🤔 Did you know that Tulsa's Guthrie Green hasn't always been green? In fact, it used to be an industrial freight yard and fuel tank dumping ground. Thanks to a mix of grant money and public support, the site was completely transformed. Crews cleared a gas station, a dozen rusted fuel tanks, and contaminated soil to create this lively downtown space that now hosts concerts, food trucks, and community events.

♻️ We're thankful for all the people and organizations in the Tulsa region that work to preserve our planet's natural beauty and amenities—whether it's the 26 miles of River Parks Authority trails along the Arkansas River, the 400+ different species of plants at Gathering Place or the largest preserved piece of tallgrass prairie left on Earth in nearby Pawhuska.

🏍️ One of the fastest-growing motorcycle rallies in the country is returning for its 4th year to Tulsa's Historic Greenwood District Main Street!

The Black Wall Street Rally attracts people from all over the country for 3 days of Greenwood tours, vendors, live music, demo-rides, bike shows, guest speakers, a golf classic and more.

🍔 The Big Bite food festival by Flywheel Presents returns for its 3rd year this Saturday, bringing 30 Oklahoma restaurants, bars, and breweries to the Gateway Event Center for one epic culinary adventure. VIP Admission begins at 1 PM while GA Admission starts at 5 PM.

⚔️ On Friday, the Tulsa Kendo Dojo Shin Sou Fu Kan returns to the Philbrook Museum of Art gardens for a demonstration of traditional Japanese fencing based on the skillful swordsmanship and rigorous principles of the Samurai. Make sure to check out the Samurai exhibit while you're there!

S.E. Hinton wrote The Outsiders right here in Tulsa at the Will Rogers High School library. Since then, our city has become a living backdrop to the story, featuring locations from Francis Ford Coppola's 1983 film adaptation from the Admiral Twin Drive-In to Circle Cinema and the Curtis brothers’ house, now the The Outsiders House Museum.

🎭 This fall, the story of Greasers and Socs comes full circle. The Tony Award-winning musical, presented by Celebrity Attractions (Tulsa, Ok), is kicking off its national tour in Tulsa, October 7–12 at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center.
