In beautiful rural Serbia, we visited the C13 Mileseva Monastery near Prijepolje, with it's special White Angel fresco, then on to the Uvac Nature Reserve for a boat trip on the meandering river to spot Griffon vultures.

Zabljak, a mountain town on the edge of Durmitor National Park in north west Montenegro, for walks to three lakes and a C16th Orthodox Church. Lake Skader, Montenegro, the largest lake in the Balkans, shared with Albania. Teeming with wildlife, including 270 bird species and a large cormorant colony. We also saw pelicans, egrets, heron, coots, moorhen, a kingfisher and a lot of terns, to name a few.
