Sin sibh...
A good few years back I translated this much loved Irish Gaelic song into Scottish Gaelic. Órla and I sing just a few verses here. The full version is on my album An t-Allt. 💿
Tha sinn an dòchas gun còrd e ruibh.

It's fun to sing this Scottish Gaelic mouth music song with some great rhythms within.
Tha mi an dòchas gu bheil Màiri toilichte leis na h-aodaich ùra aice. 💃🧥

A woman's love song in Scottish Gaelic. The woman in this song asks of her lover, who is away serving in the army, if he is ever going to return to her. She tells of how he is so far away from her. I just sing here the chorus and verse one.

Òran eireachdail de ghaol neo-dhìolta. Bidh an luchd-èisteachd an-còmhnaidh toilichte seinn air an t-sèist.
A beautiful song of unrequited love. This song always gets the audience singing along in the chorus.
Full version available on the album and in the book - Òrain Cèilidh Teaghlaich - The Family Cèilidh Gaelic Song Collection.

’S e òran beothail a tha seo a tha, air a sheinn le clann gu bitheanta.
A jaunty number which is often sung by children.

A Sutherland song in praise of this beautiful glen is a favourite across the region. Two verses sung here.
Seo òran à Cataibh a tha a’ moladh gleann àlainn.
