June, we’re ready for you!

May was a scorcher as we all enjoyed (or hid from) the UK heatwave. But the British climate remains unreliable and the Med is calling. Last-minute summer holiday enquiries are pouring in!

Headlines purporting ‘travel chaos’ may be smoke and mirrors as May was my biggest booking month so far this year. Reports of soaring flight prices haven’t matched what I’m actually seeing. There are some solid deals out there for late bookers if you know where to look (hint - ask me!)

I headed to Crete with Domes Resorts to explore three of their gorgeous properties near Chania. I believe there really is a Domes property for everyone.

June is going to be a busy one. I’m heading to the Seychelles, with a whistle-stop in Addis Ababa en route. That’s two new countries to tick off the list.

You’re not alone. It’s the question I’ve been asked more than any other this week, and with everything going on in the Middle East and the reported fuel shortages, it’s completely understandable.

If you’ve booked a package holiday through me, you’re protected by ATOL. And I don’t mean that in a “there’s a logo on your confirmation email” way. I mean it in a proper, legal, statutory sense. As your Tour Operator, I have an obligation to get you to and from your destination.

If your flights are cancelled or significantly changed, I have to find you an alternative. And if that’s not possible, you’re entitled to a full refund. No chasing an insurance company. No small print working against you.
