A gorgeous hotel in the wrong location? No thank you😂

One thing I always look at when recommending hotels is what's actually around them.

Can you walk to restaurants? How far are the attractions? Will you spend half your vacation in taxis?

Because a beautiful room doesn't mean much if you're constantly trying to get somewhere else.

Sometimes I'd rather recommend a slightly less impressive hotel in a fantastic location.

And THAT is why the details matter.

☕Travel Unfiltered: When Mother Nature has other plans.

A client recently returned from an incredible Italian adventure through Rome, Sorrento, and the Aeolian Islands.

But getting home? That was another story 😂

Mount Etna erupted, causing an airport closure that completely disrupted their travel plans.

Obviously, volcanic eruptions aren't exactly something we can plan around🌋

But we CAN plan how to respond.

A new flight from a different airport, a hotel for the night, and they were able to catch their flight home the following day.

Because sometimes the most valuable part of having a travel advisor isn't planning the perfect vacation.

It's having someone in your corner when things don't go according to plan ✈️

Well… I did a thing🚢

I officially booked myself on Disney Cruise Line's brand-new Disney Believe for 2028!

Between the Moana-inspired Grand Hall, the new Encanto stage show, and all the little Disney details, I couldn't resist.

And yes, I am already mentally planning my outfits. 😂

📍 THE NEXT PIN: Washington State

Tomorrow we're heading to Washington to visit my sister, and I couldn't be more excited!

When people think of Washington, Seattle usually comes to mind first.

But there's so much more to this state.

Towering mountains, evergreen forests, beautiful lakes, charming small towns, and plenty of opportunities to slow down and enjoy the outdoors.

And sometimes the best reason to travel isn't the destination itself. It's the people you're going to see. 🤍

👥 Best for: Nature lovers, road trippers, outdoor enthusiasts, couples, and families
🗓️ Best time to visit: Summer and early fall for generally warmer, drier weather

What if the journey was just as memorable as the destination? 🚂🏔️

I’ve had a few clients asking about Rocky Mountaineer lately, and I completely understand why.

Panoramic mountain views, beautiful onboard dining, and the chance to slow down and actually enjoy the journey.

And personally? I’d make a whole vacation out of it. Think Banff, Lake Louise, and Vancouver.

Because sometimes getting there is half the experience.

October's Destination of the Month: Costa Rica 🇨🇷

Here's the thing about Costa Rica…there isn't really ONE Costa Rica vacation.

You could spend your trip surrounded by rainforest, chasing waterfalls, spotting wildlife and actually wanting to put hiking shoes on. 😂

Or you could head toward the coast, check into a beautiful resort and spend considerably more time staring at the ocean.

And while you can combine different parts of the country, Costa Rica is one of those places where I don't necessarily want to cram everything into a one-week trip.

Things are much farther apart than they look on a map, and I'd rather you spend your vacation experiencing Costa Rica than constantly traveling through it.

If we have two weeks? Now we have a lot more room to play👀

But for a shorter trip, I'd rather figure out which Costa Rica fits you best.

Adventure? Beach? Wildlife? Incredible resort? A little bit of everything without trying to see everything?

That's where I'd start.
