We are delighted to be part of Macclesfield Textile Week, a community-led collaboration with Macclesfield Community ArtSpace taking place 19-27 September 2026 and celebrating the town's industrial silk heritage and contemporary creative community. Through workshops, talks, and exhibitions, the festival aims to inspire the next generation of makers while honouring the history of 'Silk Town’.

The Mayor of Macclesfield's 'Bingo Night' this coming Friday 4th September at Packhorse Bowling & Social Club.

The Mayor of Macclesfield is holding a fundraising Bingo night on the 4th September in support of his two chosen charities Cardiac Risk in the Young and My CWA - Cheshire Without Abuse.

The event is being held at the Packhorse Bowling & Social Club on the corner of Abbey Road and Westminster Road.

Doors at 6:30pm, eyes down at 7pm.

Bookable walks and activities:

Each year the Walking Festival team tries to keep the number of events that need advance booking to a minimum to allow our attendees maximum spontenaity. But some we have to limit numbers and every year some people don't get their booking in on time.

So this is your timely reminder to not leave it to the last minute and miss out! Spaces are filling up already on the popular ones. All bookable walks are on the homepage of our website (link below) and include the Thirsty yomp from Rudyard to Congleton, All along the bell tower and the ever popular Walking on water - which includes a return or outbound trip by canal boat:
