Haven Hill is a modern villa in Sisi, Crete, with seven en suite bedrooms, a wellness room, and a saltwater rooftop pool. Just steps from the village and beaches, it offers privacy, space and contemporary comfort for up to 14 guests.

Set on a low hillside above the harbour at Sisi, Haven Hill is a newly built villa designed with privacy and simplicity in mind. Completed in 2025, the architecture is clean and contemporary, with smooth lines, natural tones and large windows that frame the surrounding landscape. The outdoor spaces are set up for easy, relaxed living, with a saltwater rooftop pool, shaded dining area and plenty of space to spend time together.

Inside, the villa accommodates 14 guests across seven en suite bedrooms, each opening to a terrace with open views across the hills. The layout works well for families or groups, offering both generous shared areas and quieter corners to unwind. A dedicated wellness room with sauna, massage chairs and fitness equipment provides a useful additional space, while practical details such as ceiling fans, blackout blinds and high-quality mattresses ensure comfort throughout.

The waterfront tavernas and small cafés of Sisi are 200 metres away, and Sissi Beach is an easy walk from the villa. Boufos Beach is slightly further along the coast, and the archaeological site of Knossos can be reached in around 45 minutes by car for those interested in Crete’s history. Haven Hill offers a straightforward mix of privacy, convenience and contemporary style in a quiet corner of the island.

🇲🇹 Our final day in Malta 🇲🇹

Three cities, a boat trip and one last incredible day exploring this beautiful island before flying home tonight!

We started with a Dghajsa boat trip before heading to Marsaxlokk (pronounced Mars-a-shlock), followed by a lovely lunch at Liska. A heartfelt thank you to Nadia from the Alliance Group for hosting us so warmly.

Then it was on to the stunning Blue Grotto, with beautiful agave plants along the way, before visiting Ħaġar Qim— one of Malta’s remarkable prehistoric temple sites, dating back over 5,000 years. The temples are aligned with the movement of the sun, including the solstices, giving us a fascinating glimpse into how prehistoric communities understood the seasons. ☀️ The site is also part of Malta’s UNESCO-listed Megalithic Temples.

We saw ancient fossilised limestone, the famous fertility figurines and breathtaking views across the coastline. Another fascinating day discovering Malta’s extraordinary history and landscapes.

As we head home, a heartfelt thank you to my wonderful travel colleagues, Kirker Holidays, Danielle and the entire Alliance Group, Maria our fantastic driver, and Visit Malta for such a special opportunity and for showcasing this beautiful island so brilliantly.

Our final evening began with a wonderful visit to The Xara Palace Relais & Châteaux in beautiful Mdina.

This unique 17th-century palazzo has just 17 rooms and suites, each full of character and charm. Thank you to Sylvia for such a warm welcome and fascinating tour.

We even got to see the room where Angelina Jolie stayed! 🤫 I know the room number, and if you book through me, I’ll share the secret!

Afterwards, we headed to AD 1530, courtesy of Carina from the Malta Tourism Board. What a lovely way to round off our Maltese adventure!

Building relationships with hotel managers and tourism professionals is such an important part of what I do. These personal connections help me discover the stories and special touches that make a destination truly memorable.

Another wonderful day in sunny Malta! ☀️🇲🇹

Well that was a superb nights sleep at the beautiful Verdala hotel! Lucky enough to capture an amazing sunrise - we then headed out nice and early to see more of this incredible island.

After an amazing walking tour of Valletta, with Danielle, we were privileged to enjoy a very special visit to Casa Rocca Piccola, guided by a member of the family itself. What a unique experience! This beautiful 16th-century palace is still a family home today, belonging to the noble de Piro family. With its fascinating history, exquisite furnishings, family treasures and stories passed down through generations, it offered a wonderful glimpse into Malta’s aristocratic past.

We then visited the magnificent St John’s Co-Cathedral, built in the 16th century by the Knights of St John. Its relatively simple exterior gives little hint of the breathtaking Baroque interior, with its richly decorated walls, intricate marble tombstones and stunning artwork. A real feast for the eyes and a reminder of Valletta’s incredible heritage.

Our day continued with a hotel tour, followed by a delicious lunch at AX Rosselli, thank you Grace. rounding off another memorable day of exploring this beautiful island.

So much history, culture, charm and wonderful hospitality — Malta really does have so many sides to discover! ❤️
