Appeal for donations

We had our AGM yesterday, it was probably the hardest one we've had.

Due to the current financial situation here in NZ, we have seen a 50% drop in donations and a 30% increase in costs. This means something has to give if we can't raise more money and it's breaking our hearts.

From the very beginning, we have always been about more than just rescue. We have been passionate about our work in the community - the free desexing, food and microchipping. For us, this work means that some dogs won't end up in rescue and there are less unwanted litters.

Sadly, this will have to stop if we can't raise more funds, as we need to prioritise paying our bills for the dogs and pups in foster care. Their always increasing vet bills are our biggest expense, some of them are on special diets, flea and worm treatment, and we need to supplement items that we are not donated sometimes like puppy pads, harnesses, collars, leads, beds, crates etc.

We don't often put up posts begging for money, but we need to now. Please help us to continue our community work, especially as now is when we are needed more than ever.
