✨ Operations / Front of House Staff Member / Entry Level
📍 Location: V&A Waterfront, Cape Town
🕒 Position: Full-Time
This role is perfect for someone between the age of 18 - 28 years old, passionate about aviation, hospitality, and delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced environment.
You will be the first point of contact for our passengers, ensuring smooth check-ins, professional communication, and a welcoming atmosphere that reflects NAC’s commitment to luxury, safety, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Warmly welcome local and international passengers on arrival, providing a professional first impression. Assist with enquiries, directions, and general information about their flight experience.
2. Efficiently manage passenger check-ins, ticketing, weight & balance procedures. Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with NAC’s safety and operational standards. Facilitate smooth and professional boarding and disembarkation.
3. Handle incoming calls, emails, WhatsApp messages, and walk-in enquiries promptly and professionally. Provide accurate information.
4. Assist with managing bookings through NAC’s reservation system. Ensure reservations are captured accurately and timeously.
5. Perform general administrative duties. Ensure the reception area and briefing zones are always presentable.
6. Address guest concerns with professionalism and a solutions-driven approach. Escalate operational matters when necessary to ensure passenger satisfaction and safety.
7. Work closely with and support operations, ground crew, safety officers, and management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Essential Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication. Strong customer service mindset with a friendly and professional presence. High level of organisation, accuracy, and attention to detail. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Fluent in English (written and spoken). Well-presented and confident.
Advantageous:
Experience in tourism, aviation, hospitality, or a customer-facing role. Experience with booking or check-in systems. Proficiency in MS Office and digital tools.
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays. Able to work under pressure, remain calm, and deliver service excellence.
