And the moral of this amazing story is "Never stop moving forward"
One bird just flew from South Africa to Finland in 42 days. 🦅 Her name is Päivi, and she is a European honey buzzard. Satellite tracking showed she covered about 10,000 km. That is around 230 km every single day. A University of Helsinki study of tagged Finnish honey buzzards found that wind and geography shape their long routes.
Her journey followed a mostly straight line north across Africa. Every step was recorded by a tiny transmitter fitted at her nest in Vesilahti. 🌍 It shows how much strength and planning wild animals need to survive each year.
