Yesterday we were blessed by the presence of the master... Cayl came and did a Football Stadiums tour for Chris from but we also used the opportunity to make it a training experience for Tom & Morgan!
Cayl now works as a teaching assistant in many local schools but it's always lovely to have him back!
Cayl said the following on his own FB page:
"Now then, here's one for ya.... talk about one in a million conicincidences. Tonight i helped out doing my first football stadium tour in 6 months, we welcomed Chris from Bristol onto the tour who was visiting the city whilst his wife was away in Spain and the other two new guides who were on training, as we approached Everton brow (the highest point of Liverpool) i mentioned how beautiful it was to look beyond the two liver birds and see the Welsh hills on the horizon to which chris said "oh a Welshman what part are you from" ? I told him i was from Bangor and he says "oh my close mate was from Bangor" knowing full well that Bangor is a small place where people know everyone he went on to tell me that his mate was Jimmy Johnson the one and only Jimmy Johnson who he met in Leeds uni in the late 60's. I couldn't believe it. I KNEW HIM. Although Jimmy was 40 years older than me, he would ALWAYS give me time in the Mostyn to have a little chat and ask how my bowls were going. I went on to tell Chris I was also in the same form class as Jimmys son, Jimmy Johnson junior who is a hell of a character aswell a proper hirael boy, We all couldn't believe it.
What are the odds of a fella coming from Bristol coming on a bicycle tour in Liverpool and meeting a fella from Bangor who was mates with his best mate??!!!! .. unbelievable, but all part of the reason why i'll always enjoy being a tour guide. PROPER SMART THAT"
Thank you Cayl... always a pleasure mate ;)
