Which Beatles track belongs on your Halloween playlist? 🎃🎶

Our pick is “Blue Jay Way” — George Harrison’s song from Magical Mystery Tour, released in 1967. To our ears, its swirling sound is just right for a slightly eerie evening.

What would you add?

Happy Halloween from Fab 4 Tours!

The Beatles story is not tied to one type of vehicle or one fixed route.

A private cab allows a personal conversation. A shared experience introduces other fans and viewpoints. Walking slows the story down and reveals the relationship between neighbouring streets. A small coach can bring a wider group into the same narrative.

The format changes the pace and perspective; the responsibility stays the same: accurate storytelling, respect for local communities and a strong sense of the Liverpool behind the music.

You do not need to arrive in Liverpool knowing every record, date or line-up change.

A good way into the Beatles story is through the city around them: the neighbourhoods where they grew up, the venues where they learned to hold an audience and the people who helped move the story forward.

Once those connections are clear, the familiar songs and locations begin to sit within a much bigger picture. Curiosity is more useful than prior knowledge.

Planning a Beatles visit for a mixed group of fans and newcomers?

Tell us which places or parts of the story matter most to you, and how much time you have. Some guests arrive with a list of detailed questions; others want to understand why these Liverpool locations mean so much.

Both are welcome. A shared experience works best when everyone feels part of the conversation.

A music city is more than its back catalogue.

Liverpool's venues are part of the picture too. If you are coming for the Beatles story, you might also leave an evening free to discover a performance that interests you.

Check venue listings and ticket availability separately when planning; a tour booking does not include a gig. Different experiences, brought together by your own curiosity about music.

A small courtesy at a famous music address: remember it may also be someone's neighbourhood.

Keep doorways clear, respect private property and follow your guide's advice about where to stop for photographs. An exterior visit should never be taken to mean access inside.

Looking after the places behind the music helps keep visits enjoyable for residents and visitors alike.

John Lennon was born in Liverpool on 9 October 1940. For his birthday, consider a quieter part of the story: the home where he grew up.

The National Trust records that John moved to Mendips in 1946 to live with Aunt Mimi and her husband George Smith. A domestic setting changes the questions we ask. Where was there room to practise? Who encouraged music, and who worried about the future?

Famous lives also unfold in ordinary rooms. Learning about those surroundings can bring the person into clearer focus.

The music might bring you to Liverpool. Make a little room for the city too.

A waterfront walk, a look up at the Liver Building, time to get your bearings before heading out to the Beatles locations: it all helps put the visit in context.

Keep the tour and the rest of your day comfortably spaced. Liverpool has plenty to hold your attention between the famous stops.

Liverpool likes a good show-business story.

This wall of fame at Ma Egerton's is a reminder that the city's performance culture stretches across music, theatre and entertainment. There is always another name, venue or story to investigate.

For us, the Beatles are the starting point for exploring Liverpool—not a reason to stop being curious about the city around them.

On 5 October 1962, the Beatles released their first UK single, Love Me Do, backed with P.S. I Love You.

It reached number 17 in the UK. That is a useful detail to remember when the band's story is told as instant, unstoppable success. The first release was a beginning, rather than the fully formed phenomenon we now recognise.

Try listening to it beside a later Beatles recording. What catches your ear first: the voices, the rhythm or the space between the instruments?
