Chalet Genepy sits on Chemin du Petit Alaska, a peaceful hillside overlooking Val d’Isère. But beyond that extraordinary swimming pool, there are some very good reasons to have this property on your radar.
Spread across 256m² and three floors, Genepy accommodates up to 12 guests in five double/twin bedrooms and a separate children's bunk room. There's also a steam room, TV/cinema room, heated ski-boot storage and generous open-plan living spaces with a fireplace and balcony overlooking the village.

Connected to neighbouring Tignes, the ski area offers:
• 300km of marked pistes
• 160 runs, including 70 red and black runs
• 71 ski lifts
• Skiing reaching over 3,400m in altitude
It's particularly appealing to confident skiers who want serious variety, challenging terrain and a high-altitude ski area, alongside the restaurants and lively atmosphere of an established Alpine village.
💡 OUR TAKE?
Genepy is an excellent proposition for groups who take their skiing seriously but want their accommodation to be just as memorable.
One important consideration: it isn't ski-in/ski-out. The resort centre is approximately a 10-minute walk away, along a steep hillside road. However, an included private shuttle operates during set morning and afternoon periods, making access to the slopes considerably easier.
For those of you happy to trade doorstep skiing for a peaceful hillside setting, exceptional spa facilities and room to spread out, it's a compelling option.
And with both self-catered and contactless catered arrangements available, there's flexibility over how guests spend their evenings.
