Christmas Eve: A Night of Nordic Traditions 🎄

Tonight, I want to share with you the cherished Christmas traditions of my family, deeply rooted in our Nordic heritage. Christmas Eve is more than just a festive occasion for us; it's a time to honor our ancestors and the rich tapestry of culture they passed down through generations.

I am 25% Scandinavian and 25% Norwegian, and both sets of maternal grandparents journeyed through Ellis Island.

So tonight, we honor a family tradition over a hundred years old and gather with our loved ones to celebrate the magic of Christmas Eve, enveloped in the warmth of family and tradition. The air is filled with the delightful aroma of our Scandinavian dishes, lovingly prepared to honor our heritage and bring everyone together. This feast celebrates unity and love, where each dish tells a story of our past and our connection to those who came before us.

I will make lefse and kringle with my kids and encourage them to try the lutefisk. By keeping our ancestors' traditions alive, we honor our ancestors and create a bridge between the past and the present.

We wish you a Christmas Eve overflowing with warmth, love, and cherished memories. From our family to yours, may this night be as magical as the traditions that bind us. Merry Christmas Eve! 🎁❤️
